In World of Warcraft: The War Within, Delves are designed as a core endgame feature accessible to players of all playstyles. With Delves linked to the Great Vault and featured prominently in Season 1 content, Blizzard has clearly given players plenty of reasons to dive into this exciting activity repeatedly.
One of the key rewards players will pursue in Delves is Undercoins, a unique currency required for unlocking various valuable items. Here's everything you need to know about how to collect Undercoins efficiently.
Undercoins are primarily earned by completing Bountiful Delves, with no current reports of Undercoins dropping in standard Delves. One of the most reliable ways to gather Undercoins is by using a Restored Coffer Key, which grants a substantial number of coins. Additionally, treasure chests found in the Treasure Room that don’t require keys also offer Undercoins as rewards.
Aside from chest rewards, there are other ways to increase your Undercoin stash. In Tier 4 or higher Delves, groups of enemies will receive a significant power boost from Zekvir, and defeating them will grant you extra Undercoins, along with progress in the Delver's Journey. Another potential source of Undercoins comes from Zekvir himself, who may randomly spawn and attack you during the Delve. Be cautious—Zekvir hits hard and can take you out quickly, especially if you're already engaged in combat with other enemies.
If Zekvir does appear and you manage to survive, he will leave behind a spike on the ground. Looting this spike will reward you with Undercoins, Delver's Journey progress, Valorstones, and possibly rare items like the Relicblood of Zekvir Utility Curio. However, since Zekvir’s appearances are entirely random, it’s best not to rely on this method. Instead, focus on defeating Zekvir-influenced enemy groups, as they always drop Undercoins when eliminated.
In Dornogal, you’ll find a dedicated area for Delve-related activities. Nearby Brann Bronzebeard, two vendors stand ready to exchange your Undercoins for various rewards: Reno Jackson on the left, and Sir Finley Mrrgglton on the right.
Reno specializes in selling cosmetic items, while Sir Finley offers a range of useful gear for alternate characters, as well as toys and Restored Coffer Keys. All of Sir Finley’s items require Undercoins for purchase. However, many of these items won’t become available until you’ve made significant progress in the Delver's Journey book, so it’s wise to save your Undercoins until more stock becomes accessible.
