Bethesda's Starfield continues to expand with exciting updates, including the introduction of the Rover vehicle and new armor sets, keeping fans engaged with the game's expansive universe. Recently, players have discovered two new spacesuits added to the game: the Vibrant and Bold sets. These visually stunning spacesuits, bursting with color, are highly sought after, but acquiring them is no easy task.
These new additions, which are among the most impressive armor sets in Starfield, consist of a spacesuit, helmet, and pack. However, obtaining even a single component of these sets can be challenging. Fortunately, there are strategies that players can use to make the process of unlocking the Vibrant and Bold spacesuits a bit more manageable.
To get their hands on the new Bold and Vibrant spacesuit sets, players need to visit Stache, a member of the Trackers Alliance, located in Akila City on the planet Cheyenne. Each set includes three pieces: a spacesuit, a helmet, and a pack, all of which must be purchased separately from Stache. However, there's a catch—Stache doesn’t sell these items directly. Instead, players must buy random items from him, hoping that one of them will be a piece of the new armor sets.
Purchases from Stache require Astra, a rare currency in Starfield, rather than the more common Credits. Astra is notoriously difficult to come by, but some Starfield mods can increase the amount of Astra players can obtain. Even without mods, diligent players can earn enough Astra through the game’s vanilla experience, though it requires a significant grind. Stache charges one Astra for a Rare item, two Astra for an Epic item, and three Astra for a Legendary item. Since all pieces of the Bold and Vibrant sets are classified as Legendary, players will need to spend three Astra per piece.
This means that completing a set requires a total of 18 Astra, which represents a considerable investment of time and effort. The high cost makes acquiring these spacesuits a challenging endeavor, demanding substantial dedication from players.
Adding to the difficulty, each purchase from Stache results in a random item, with no guarantee of receiving a piece of the Bold or Vibrant armor sets. To increase their odds, players should save their game before buying anything from Stache. This way, if they don’t receive the desired item, they can reload their save and try again. It’s equally important to save immediately after acquiring a piece of the armor sets to avoid losing it if subsequent purchases yield the wrong items.
There are multiple ways to earn Astra in Starfield. Completing missions for the Trackers Alliance and participating in bounty missions are two reliable methods, each offering small amounts of Astra as rewards. Players can accept these missions in Akila City on Cheyenne, and they are generally quick to complete. Additionally, Astra can often be found in chests scattered throughout these missions.
Another way to earn Astra is by scanning civilians to see if they are wanted dead or alive. Characters marked as wanted will glow red when scanned, and players can kill and loot them for a chance to find Astra. These actions have no negative consequences, as players won’t be pursued by guards or law enforcement for eliminating wanted individuals.
Boss chests, which are located at the end of point-of-interest (POI) dungeons, are also a good source of Astra. While not guaranteed, these chests frequently contain Astra, providing players with another opportunity to gather enough currency to purchase the Bold and Vibrant armor sets.
The introduction of the Vibrant and Bold spacesuits in Starfield adds another layer of excitement to the game, offering players a fresh challenge and the allure of rare, eye-catching gear. While obtaining these sets requires a significant investment of time and Astra, the satisfaction of donning some of the most striking armor in the game makes the effort worthwhile. For players eager to showcase these vibrant spacesuits, mastering the art of Astra acquisition is essential.
