Funko Fusion has just rolled out a substantial update, packed with improvements that enhance the overall gameplay experience. This update includes numerous quality-of-life enhancements and essential bug fixes. The popular crossover game, developed by Funko in partnership with 10:10 Games, features a collection of beloved Funko Pop characters from franchises such as Back to the Future, Five Nights at Freddy’s, and Team Fortress 2. Initially launched on Windows and current-gen consoles on September 13, versions for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 are set to arrive on November 15.
While player reactions have been mixed, much of the feedback has pointed to repetitive missions and a somewhat simplistic combat system. However, the game’s unique blend of fan-favorite characters offers vast potential, with many players hoping for additional DLC characters to expand the already impressive roster. The developers have also started addressing technical issues, making this update a promising step toward refining Funko Fusion.
Shortly after its launch, the first major quality-of-life patch was released, responding to player feedback. According to an announcement on Steam, the update focuses on making character unlocks more accessible, improving the use of health items, and streamlining Silver Crown production. Additional save protections have been added to prevent progress loss, and UI tweaks now make Cameo IP levels easier to spot on the level screens.
This update also includes a host of bug fixes and gameplay rebalancing across several Funko Fusion worlds. Players will find more balanced levels and boss encounters, along with fixes to frustrating issues such as being stuck in sections or facing endlessly respawning enemies. Universal problems like unskippable cutscenes on replay, difficulties in achieving 100% completion, and unintended level resets have been addressed as well.
Though the game’s reception remains somewhat divided, this major patch is a strong start, delivering much-needed fixes and adjustments. As Funko Fusion prepares for its November expansion to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, future patches and potential DLC content may draw more players into the game.
