Just when it seemed Nintendo had wrapped up its amiibo releases with the Sora figure from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the company surprised fans by keeping the amiibo trend alive. New releases for Splatoon 3 and continued support for older figures have proven that amiibo are still an important part of the Nintendo ecosystem. While not every new game incorporates amiibo functionality, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom—one of the final major titles for the Nintendo Switch—does.
Although fans had hoped for dedicated amiibo for Echoes of Wisdom, Nintendo has instead made 28 figures from previous Zelda games compatible with the latest adventure. By tapping these amiibo to your Joy-Con, you can unlock unique items, and possibly new outfits for Zelda. If you're looking to add these figures to your collection, or want to dust off your existing ones, we've got the full list of compatible amiibo and where you can still purchase them.

Ganondorf | Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, GameStop |
Tears of the Kingdom was the last Switch game to introduce its own set of amiibo, including new figures for Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf. Scanning these in Echoes of Wisdom grants daily rewards and alternate outfits, much like their function in Tears of the Kingdom. Thankfully, these amiibo are still fairly easy to find and won’t break the bank. While they retail between $16 and $20, you might see slight price increases depending on availability, but you shouldn't need to pay more than $30.

Guardian | Nintendo, Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, GameStop |
The Breath of the Wild amiibo, which also work in Echoes of Wisdom, are more elusive than the Tears of the Kingdom figures. Despite being over seven years old, only the Guardian amiibo was reprinted, so it's the easiest one to find at around $20. The remaining nine amiibo from Breath of the Wild are a bit harder to track down, though still affordable, with most priced between $20 and $40. If you're hunting for a complete set, the champions' amiibo are available as a four-pack, offering a convenient and potentially cost-effective way to collect them.

Discussions about which Zelda game reigns supreme have been around for decades, and while opinions vary, Skyward Sword has earned its place in the conversation, especially after its remaster on the Switch. Thankfully, Skyward Sword’s Link and Zelda amiibo are compatible with Echoes of Wisdom, and both figures can still be found online. The Zelda amiibo, in particular, stands out with its inclusion of Loftwing, making it a unique collectible among Zelda amiibo.

Wolf Link | Nintendo, Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, GameStop |
Nintendo has nearly made every major Zelda game available on the Switch, with Twilight Princess being one of the few still absent. Despite this, the game has contributed two of the more sought-after amiibo, with Wolf Link being a fan favorite. Surprisingly, Wolf Link is relatively easy to find and is available through Nintendo’s own store, while regular Link from Twilight Princess is a bit scarcer and slightly pricier.

Toon Link | Walmart |
Another major Zelda title missing from the Switch lineup is Wind Waker. For years, rumors of a remaster have circulated, but for now, the best we have is compatibility with Echoes of Wisdom. Unfortunately, the amiibo for Zelda and Toon Link from Wind Waker are some of the rarest on this list, making them harder to find and more expensive. If you're determined to add them to your collection, there's a two-pack available, though it comes with a hefty price tag.

Link (Link's Awakening) | Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, GameStop |
Link (Ocarina Of Time) | Amazon, Walmart |
Link (Majora's Mask) | Amazon, Walmart |
Link (The Legend Of Zelda) | Amazon, Walmart |
Amiibo from four classic Zelda games are also compatible with Echoes of Wisdom, including the iconic 8-bit Link from the original Legend of Zelda. Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask also bring their own amiibo into the mix, each unlocking rewards in the latest Zelda adventure. Fans familiar with the art style of Link’s Awakening may find its influence in Echoes of Wisdom, and it's no surprise that the Link’s Awakening amiibo has been restocked widely in preparation for this.

Zelda | Nintendo, Walmart |
Sheik | Nintendo, Walmart, GameStop |
Young Link | Amazon, Walmart |
Ganondorf | Amazon, Walmart |
Toon Link | Amazon, Walmart |
Before you leave, there's one last thing to note: several Super Smash Bros. Ultimate amiibo are also compatible with Echoes of Wisdom. Link, Toon Link, Young Link, and Sheik from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate can all unlock in-game bonuses. With the possibility of a new Smash Bros. on the horizon for Nintendo’s next console, we might even see another version of Link join the roster—perhaps one inspired by Tears of the Kingdom.
Now that you know which amiibo are compatible with Echoes of Wisdom and where to find them, you can elevate your Zelda experience and enhance your in-game rewards.
