The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom - Guide to Performance Artist Quests

In Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, the Automaton mechanic becomes available after you meet Dampe. Following your assistance with Dampe's initial side quest, you can embark on three additional quests to unlock more automatons. Among these, the quest titled "Performance Artist!" introduces a robotic creature known as Gizmol.

While it may not be as combat-effective as the level 3 Echoes you can Learn, Gizmol plays a crucial role in a later side quest. If you're aiming to increase your heart containers in Echoes of Wisdom, completing "Performance Artist!" should be on your agenda.

How to Unlock Gizmol

To initiate "Performance Artist!", you must first finish the "Automaton Engineer Dampe" side quest. After completing the "Still Missing" story quest, locate Dampe north of Hyrule Ranch. Defeat the crow guarding the area to obtain the Clockwork Key, then head to Dampe's Studio, which is situated west of Jabul Waters, near the River Zora village. Once there, speak with Dampe and provide him with a Mothula Echo and a Tektite Echo to create the Techtite automaton. Afterward, you can check Dampe's journal to unlock three new side quests, including "Performance Artist!"

Finding the Prismatic Music Box in Echoes of Wisdom

To successfully complete "Performance Artist!", you'll need to present Dampe with a Zol Echo and find an item that produces a "lovely sound." The quest hints that this sound can be heard near Hyrule Ranch. For this, you’ll need Zelda's horse, "Impa's Gift," to obtain the Prismatic Music Box. Speak with the lady next to the house to participate in the Flag Race. If you can finish the Middle Course in under 25 seconds, you will be rewarded with the Prismatic Music Box.

Since the Prismatic Music Box is not an Echo, you cannot summon it to show Dampe directly. To hand over the Prismatic Music Box, talk to Dampe and select "I want an automaton," followed by choosing "performance artist" to complete the task. You'll need to do this for the other three automaton requests, which require the Golden Fan and Heirloom Katana.

Once you've presented Dampe with the music box and summoned the Zol Echo, you will receive the Gizmol.

Using Gizmol

If you've already completed the side quest "A Curious Child," you can then start "An Out-There Zol." Head to Hyrule Castle Town and converse with the boy located outside the southwestern house. If he has previously encountered the Zol, Ignizol, and Hydrozol, a quest marker will appear above his head. Speak with him to trigger "An Out-There Zol," and summon the Gizmol automaton to fulfill the quest requirements. To use the automaton, press left on the directional pad and select Gizmol. Completing "An Out-There Zol" will earn you a piece of heart, making your adventure in Echoes of Wisdom even more rewarding.
