When it comes to creating the ultimate Qingyi build in Zenless Zone Zero, the goal is to amplify the cyborg cop’s stun capabilities and boost her impact for more effective enemy control. Though Qingyi might seem complex, her role is straightforward: incapacitate enemies so your primary DPS can deal maximum damage. Here's how to optimize her setup for peak performance.
Qingyi excels as an electric stunner, slotting seamlessly into an ether team alongside Zhu Yuan and Nicole. She offers a viable alternative to Anby, with her enhanced basic attack providing a stun damage multiplier. In a team setup with Soukaku and Ellen, she can even substitute for Lycaon. Her basic attack continuously delivers electric damage, building up the Flash Connect resource. At 75 stacks, she can unleash her enhanced basic attack, Enchanted Moonlit Blossoms, applying a stun damage multiplier through her core passive. Additionally, her EX special attack inflicts substantial damage and daze, making impact-boosting crucial for effective stuns.
Recommended W-Engines
1. Ice-Jade Teapot (S-Tier): This is Qingyi’s premier W-Engine, granting a stack of Tea-riffic with each basic attack hit. This stack increases impact by 0.7 for eight seconds, up to 30 stacks. At 15 stacks, any additional stack boosts the entire squad’s damage by 20% for 10 seconds. The Ice-Jade Teapot is excellent for rapidly building stacks, enhancing Qingyi's impact and stuns.
2. The Restrained (S-Tier Alternative): If you have it, Lycaon’s The Restrained can be a great alternative, offering a 6% increase in damage and daze for basic attacks.
3. Steam Oven: If neither of the above options is available, Steam Oven is a solid choice. It increases impact by 2% for every ten energy accumulated, stacking up to eight times and maintaining the bonus for an additional eight seconds post-energy consumption—ideal for frequent use of Qingyi’s EX special attack.
4. Demara Battery Mark II: For a more general option, Anby’s Demara Battery Mark II provides a 15% electric damage boost and energy regeneration from dodge counters or assist attacks.
1. Shockstar Disco (Four Pieces): This setup enhances Qingyi’s impact and increases daze application, leading to more frequent stuns.
2. Swing Jazz (Two Pieces): Boosts energy regeneration, allowing for more frequent use of her skills. Alternatively, you might opt for Woodpecker Electro to focus on critical hits, though prioritizing skill usage is generally more beneficial for her stun role.
Recommended Stats for Drive Discs
- Drive Disc 4: Focus on crit rate or anomaly proficiency. Crit rate is useful if you have decent crit damage from other sources, while anomaly proficiency boosts damage from shock effects.
- Drive Disc 5: Choose between electric damage or energy regeneration, especially if using the Steam Oven W-Engine which relies on this stat.
- Drive Disc 6: Impact is crucial for stun effectiveness. Aim to keep Qingyi’s impact below 220 to avoid diminishing returns, as her additional ability increases attack by six for each impact point above 120.
Substats Priority
- Impact: Essential for maximizing stun efficiency.
- Energy Regeneration: Important for frequent use of her EX special attack.
- Crit Rate and Crit Damage: Beneficial if you can achieve a balanced build.
- Anomaly Proficiency: Enhances shock damage if preferred.
To level up Qingyi in Zenless Zone Zero, you’ll need:
- Stun Certification Seals (Basic, Advanced, and Ruler)
- Investigator Logs
These can be acquired through the Combat Simulation activity by selecting Agent Promotion and Stun Drill for Qingyi. Investigator Logs can be obtained by choosing Basic Material and Investigation Specialization.
Additionally, as with previous miHoYo titles, advancing your Inter-Knot reputation will unlock higher character levels and allow for customized Combat Simulation rewards to obtain the materials you need.
By following this guide, you'll be well on your way to maximizing Qingyi’s effectiveness and enhancing your team’s overall performance.
