In Zenless Zone Zero, players who return after a 14-day break are in for a pleasant surprise. Released in April, Zenless Zone Zero is one of HoYoverse’s popular titles, known for its expanding semi-open world in New Eridu and the challenging Hollow dungeons. With so much happening in the game, it demands plenty of attention from players to keep up with the action.
Despite being relatively new to the gacha gaming scene, Zenless Zone Zero has distinguished itself with its unique characters and engaging combat, which resembles tag-team fighting mechanics. Add to that a constant flow of Proxy commissions, story missions, and limited-time events, and players have a wealth of content to explore with each session.
However, not every player can log in every day, and HoYoverse has catered to those who might miss out. For those returning after a two-week absence, the game now includes a special “welcome back” feature. Players are greeted with a video call from either Belle or Wise, depending on their main Proxy, who will warmly welcome them back to the action and let them know there’s a gift waiting at the video store. Alongside this, the new "Back in Business" event kicks off, lasting 16 days and offering a substantial boost to rewards like material drops, a chance to pull for a limited S-rank Agent, and access to a temporary Co-Star Agent to assist in farming stages.
- The "Back in Business" event activates after players have been inactive for at least 14 days and runs for 16 days once triggered.
- Upon returning, players receive a personalized video message from Belle or Wise, along with perks such as Reset Check-In, Engagement Record, Double Drops, a temporary Co-Star Agent, and boosted chances for limited S-rank Agent pulls.
HoYoverse has a history of rewarding returning players, but Zenless Zone Zero is the first of their titles to feature animated video calls from the game's protagonists. This new addition has been a hit with fans, with many taking to social media to express how charming they found the update. Players especially enjoyed seeing how the personalities of Belle and Wise differ as they welcome them back to the game. Meanwhile, some daily players humorously lamented that they’ll miss out on the cute videos since they never miss a day of logging in.
With Zenless Zone Zero’s rapidly growing content, including upcoming updates, the "Back in Business" event provides a great opportunity for players to catch up on resources, materials, and Polychromes they may have missed. These rewards are also invaluable for pulling on S-rank Agent banners, including exciting new characters like Tsukishiro Yanagi and Lighter, who are set to debut in Version 1.3.
