The launch of Vessel of Hatred, the first expansion pack for Diablo 4, has been postponed due to technical issues. While the expansion is still set to go live soon, players may experience a short delay before they can immerse themselves in the new content.

Vessel of Hatred continues the story from the base game, inviting players to explore the iconic Nahantu region as they follow Neyrelle on her quest to finally defeat Mephisto. The expansion introduces a new class, the Spiritborn, which wields a unique double-sided glaive and harnesses powerful animal spirits to vanquish enemies.

Unfortunately, it appears fans will need to be patient a bit longer. Originally slated for release on October 7 at 4 PM PDT across all regions and platforms, community manager PezRadar announced in a Blizzard forum post that the launch will face a minor delay.

PezRadar explained that a small technical issue was discovered, which has delayed the release. Although the wait shouldn’t be extensive, it’s essential to ensure that Vessel of Hatred can be launched smoothly on all platforms.

When Can Players Access Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred?

As of the original launch time, players will not be able to log into Diablo 4 until Vessel of Hatred is fully released. Those who were logged in prior to the delay will still have access to Diablo 4 Patch 1.5.2 for a limited time, but they will eventually be disconnected from the server as Blizzard prepares for the expansion's launch.

Currently, no specific timeline has been provided regarding the length of the delay. However, PezRadar stated that Blizzard anticipates the expansion will be available before the end of October 7. With some luck, the launch of Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred may only be postponed by an hour or two, though players might need to remain patient if the delay extends beyond that.

Despite the postponed launch, fans can still engage with Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred Twitch Drops starting at 4 PM PDT. Players are encouraged to tune into their favorite Diablo 4 content creators’ streams and interact with fellow fans while they await the expansion's official release, all while working towards unlocking exciting new cosmetic items.
