Genshin Impact has officially announced the four-star characters set to appear in the first phase of Update 5.1. Alongside the new five-star character Xilonen, who has been featured multiple times throughout the main storyline, players can anticipate exciting new additions to their roster.
In addition to Xilonen, HoYoverse has confirmed that another Geo character, Chiori, will also be part of the inaugural banner. During a recent livestream, it was revealed that Phase 1 of Update 5.1 is expected to launch around October 1.
In Genshin Impact, four-star characters have a pity system of 10 wishes, ensuring a four-star drop with every 10 wishes. This makes them significantly easier to obtain than five-star characters, which have a 90-wish pity. However, players may find it challenging to obtain a specific four-star character due to the odds being split among three units.
Each Limited Character Banner features three four-star characters that rotate every three weeks. For the upcoming update, Genshin Impact has confirmed the following four-star characters will be included:
- Xilonen – Five-star Geo sword user
- Chiori – Five-star Geo sword user
- Candace – Four-star Hydro polearm user
- Dori – Four-star Electro claymore user
- Collei – Four-star Dendro bow user
Many fans have noted that it’s unusual to see two five-star characters sharing the same element and weapon type on the same banner. One possible reason for this choice could be their synergy, as Geo characters often benefit from teamwork to maximize their effectiveness. However, Xilonen’s recent kit reveal suggests she will be a more versatile unit compared to typical Geo characters.
Xilonen's build allows her to adapt to the elemental dynamics of her team, positioning her as a highly flexible support character in the game. Regarding the four-star roster, Dori is widely regarded as an excellent budget-friendly option for teams in need of Energy Recharge, thanks to her ability to generate substantial amounts of Energy particles. Additionally, she serves as a competent healer, fitting seamlessly into various team compositions.
Candace excels as a support character for Hydro-centric elemental reactions, while Collei offers a similar advantage for Dendro teams, showcasing her strong sub-DPS capabilities. Many players have praised HoYoverse for selecting three four-star units from the Sumeru region, enhancing the diversity and appeal of the upcoming banners.
