Genshin Impact has just announced the character and weapon lineup for the second phase of Version 5.0, bringing back fan favorites Chevreuse and Kujou Sara. While 5-Star characters often steal the spotlight, 4-Star characters in the game also play crucial roles and can significantly enhance a team’s performance when properly utilized. For instance, Faruzan complements Wanderer, while Kujou Sara is a key support for Raiden Shogun. Not to be overlooked are Bennett and Xiangling, who remain premium 4-Star choices from Version 1.0.
4-Star characters, while powerful, often reach their full potential only with Constellations. As a result, players are generally advised to wait for these characters to appear on Event Banners rather than chasing them randomly. Fans of Chevreuse, a Pyro healer introduced in Version 4.3 who brought the Overload playstyle into the spotlight, will be thrilled to see her first rerun on September 17, 2024, after a long wait.
According to Genshin Impact’s latest Twitter update, the upcoming banners will feature Kinich alongside Thoma, Chevreuse, and Kujou Sara. Kinich benefits significantly from Thoma’s support, while Chevreuse and Sara are prime choices for Raiden. Notably, Chevreuse stands out as a top-tier option for Pyro and Electro hypercarries due to her substantial Overload buffs. Both Arlecchino and Clorinde benefit from her abilities, with the latter also gaining from Thoma’s support, making this a particularly strong lineup.
The weapon banners for this phase are equally exciting, featuring the Engulfing Lightning and Fang of the Mountain King. Engulfing Lightning is a highly coveted 5-Star Polearm, ideal for Xiangling, Zhongli, and Shenhe. The Fang of the Mountain King, a 5-Star Claymore, is excellent for any Burning or Burgeon team, regardless of the user's element. With recent changes to Weapon Banners in Genshin Impact, securing the desired Signature Weapon is now more achievable, requiring only one Fate Point to guarantee your choice.
While the current banners are enticing, players should also look forward to the upcoming Version 5.1 Event Banners. The first half will spotlight Chiori and Xilonen, while the second half will feature Nahida and Hu Tao. Players who pull for Kinich will likely want to consider Nahida if they don’t already have Emilie, whose rerun may be several months away. The current Event Banners will remain available until October 9, 2024, when Version 5.1 is set to launch.
