Genshin Impact has officially announced four exciting new weapons set to debut in the upcoming Version 5.1 update. Developer HoYoverse has already confirmed that this update will introduce only one new five-star character, Xilonen, accompanied by three rerun banners.
Weapons play a vital role in enhancing each character's effectiveness in Genshin Impact, as they significantly influence gameplay performance. HoYoverse typically releases a signature weapon alongside new characters that aligns perfectly with their playstyle.
The newly revealed weapons come with impressive stats. Xilonen's signature five-star sword, named Peak Patrol Song, features a substantial DEF secondary stat. This specialization suggests that the sword will primarily benefit Genshin Impact Geo characters, whose abilities often scale with DEF. Its passive effect boosts the character's DEF whenever they land a Normal or Charged Attack on an opponent, while also enhancing the elemental damage potential for the entire team based on the weapon holder’s DEF.
- Peak Patrol Song – Five-star sword
- Mountain-Bracing Bolt – Four-star polearm
- Fruitful Hook – Four-star claymore
- Sturdy Bone – Four-star sword
The new Mountain-Bracing Bolt, a four-star polearm, offers a significant boost in Energy Recharge, making it an excellent choice for Kachina, who is available for free in Version 5.1. This weapon's passive reduces Stamina consumption while climbing and enhances Elemental Skill damage by 12%. Furthermore, whenever a party member uses their Elemental Skill, the weapon holder receives an additional buff to their own skill.
The Fruitful Hook is a new four-star claymore that emphasizes a unique aspect of a character’s kit: the Plunging Attack. This makes it a promising option for several characters, including Liyue’s Pyro user, Gaming, as well as Xianyun, another Pyro character who can take advantage of this weapon. Overall, it serves as an excellent budget-friendly choice for claymore users that scale with ATK.
Among fans, the Sturdy Bone has garnered praise for having one of the most striking sword designs in Genshin Impact. This new four-star weapon also features ATK as its secondary stat, making it suitable for offensive sword-wielders. Its passive effect reduces Sprint Stamina consumption and boosts Normal Attack damage by 16% when utilized. Many players have commended HoYoverse for incorporating stamina buffs into new weapons, as this could significantly enhance their effectiveness in combat.
