A Genshin Impact fan has compiled an intriguing chart tracking how many banner rotations each four-star character has missed in the game’s lineup. In Genshin Impact, four-star characters are generally considered secondary options compared to their five-star counterparts due to having comparatively simpler abilities and lower base stats.

Every limited banner in Genshin Impact offers three four-star characters alongside two five-stars in a shared 10-wish pity system. Although acquiring four-star characters is easier, their drop rates are split among three options, which can make it challenging to pull a specific character from the four-star pool.

Recently, with HoYoverse’s reveal of the Phase 2 Limited Character Banner lineup for the current update, Reddit user RapidFresh posted a chart showing the "waiting list" of four-star characters yet to appear in Version 5.1. At the top of the list is Shikanoin Heizou, an Inazuma detective, who has now missed 12 consecutive updates. As the game’s first Catalyst character focused on close combat, Heizou quickly became a fan-favorite four-star DPS with a unique playstyle later echoed by other Catalyst characters like Wriothesley.

Genshin Impact’s Four-Star Characters with the Longest Absences

- Heizou - 12 updates missed

- Mika - 11 updates missed

- Sayu - 10 updates missed

- Fischl - 9 updates missed

- Diona - 9 updates missed

- Chongyun - 9 updates missed

Next in line is the Cryo polearm support, Mika, who has now missed 11 banner rotations. Mika serves as a valuable support character for Physical damage teams, although some players noted they had forgotten his existence due to his limited appearances. With the highly anticipated Mondstadt expansion on the horizon, Mika may finally get more time in the spotlight.

Following Mika is Sayu, the Anemo Claymore-wielding ninja, who has missed 10 updates. One of the earlier characters from Inazuma, Sayu adds a unique rolling mechanic that makes traversing Genshin Impact’s open world a delight. Despite not being a top meta pick, her abilities make her one of the most enjoyable characters to play.

Fischl, Diona, and Chongyun currently share the fourth spot, with each missing nine updates. Fischl, still regarded as an A-tier sub-DPS or support, can generate consistent damage and energy with her off-field raven companion, Oz. Once known as a reliable Cryo DPS, Chongyun has been overshadowed by more recent, complex characters, though he remains a useful, if situational, pick.
