Black Myth: Wukong is renowned for its demanding gameplay, featuring over 90 formidable bosses. Drawing from the rich tapestry of Chinese mythology, the game adapts the legendary Sun Wukong’s tale into a challenging action RPG.
As players advance, they’ll encounter increasingly powerful foes, making high-quality armor crucial. Fortunately, Black Myth: Wukong offers a diverse array of armor sets, each providing unique benefits. Some can be upgraded, while others come pre-equipped at their highest level. With so many choices available, selecting the right armor set can be a daunting task.
Ideal for Farming Will
While the Folk Opera Set may not be the top choice for late-game encounters, it’s invaluable for those looking to farm extra Will in the early stages. This set includes the Folk Opera Mask, Folk Opera Almsgiving Armor, Folk Opera Leather Bracers, and Folk Opera Buskins.
To obtain the full Folk Opera Set, players must purchase the Deluxe Edition of the game, as it’s currently unavailable through other means.
Enhances Rock Solid Spell
The Iron Set is designed to complement the Rock Solid spell, featuring Iron Horned Helm, Iron-Tough Armor, Iron-Tough Gauntlets, and Iron-Tough Greaves. This spell acts as a defensive mechanism similar to Parry but isn’t usable in rapid succession.
Equipping two pieces of the Iron Set increases Focus gain from successful Rock Solid deflections. Wearing all four pieces significantly reduces the cooldown for Rock Solid spells, making it a valuable choice for defensive play.
Maximizes Dodging Efficiency
Due to the lack of a traditional Parry option, dodging is crucial in Black Myth: Wukong. The Galeguard Set is perfect for players who excel at dodging attacks. It provides additional Focus for perfect dodges, and equipping all four pieces reduces spell cooldowns when executing perfect dodges.
This set, combined with dodge-enhancing skills like Peace from Peril, not only increases damage output but also ensures quicker spell availability.
Optimized for Immobilize Use
Comprising the Bronze Monkey Mask, Bronze Brocade Battlerobe, Bronze Armguard, and Bronze Buskins, the Bronze Set is tailored for players who frequently use the Immobilize spell.
The two-piece bonus boosts damage dealt after breaking an enemy’s immobilization, while the four-piece bonus significantly lowers Immobilize’s cooldown. Players can further enhance this spell with skills like Stagnation and Evanescence.
Harnesses Poison Bane
The Centipede Set thrives under specific conditions. It performs best when the player is poisoned, reducing continuous poison damage when equipped with two pieces. With all four pieces, attack power increases significantly in a Poisoned State.
Though getting poisoned isn’t ideal, players can use items like the Deathstinger to self-inflict poison and fully utilize the Centipede Set’s capabilities.
Excellent for Spell Cooldown Reduction
Named after Sun Wukong himself, the Monkey King Set includes the Golden Feng-Tail Crown, Gold Suozi Armor, Dian-Cui Loong-Soaring Bracers, and Lotus Silk Cloudtreaders. The set offers two bonuses: increased Critical Hit Chance with three pieces and reduced spell cooldowns with five pieces.
This set becomes available in Chapter 6 and provides substantial benefits when paired with the Jingubang Staff.
Unmatched Defense and Resilience
The Bull King’s Armor Set stands out as the most robust and versatile armor in the game. It includes the Bull King’s Mask, Bull King’s Bracers, Bull King’s Shan Wen Armor, and Bull King’s Greaves.
The two-piece bonus increases defense when taking damage, while the four-piece set grants Tenacity, making the player nearly immune to stagger when HP falls below 50%. This set requires the Bull King’s Horn, found only in Bishui Cave, and can only be crafted during New Game+.
Whether facing fierce bosses or navigating challenging encounters, these armor sets offer critical advantages to enhance your gameplay in Black Myth: Wukong.
