Recent leaks have finally unveiled the Event Banner characters for Genshin Impact's upcoming Version 5.1. While players had long expected Xilonen to debut in this update, the identities of the 5-Star characters accompanying her were unclear. Fans speculated that characters like Wriothesley and Shenhe might appear, either due to their absence from recent banners or their involvement in the Imaginarium Theater, in Wriothesley's case.
Despite fans' strong arguments for the return of certain characters in Version 5.1, the delay in Eula's reappearance in Genshin Impact demonstrates that developers are not hesitant to keep even limited 5-Stars off banners for extended periods. With new characters such as Kachina and Xilonen adding depth to the Geo element, and Citlali set to arrive in Version 5.3, it seems HoYoverse is taking Version 5.1 in a different direction.
According to leaks from ukrisreng, a known contributor on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit, the first half of Version 5.1 will feature Xilonen alongside Chiori on the Event Banners. The second half will spotlight Nahida and Hu Tao. Xilonen, one of the most eagerly awaited characters from the Natlan region, is expected to offer powerful buffs, elemental resistance reduction, and single-target healing, all wrapped up in a distinctive Geo package.
- Xilonen – 5-Star Geo Sword
- Chiori – 5-Star Geo Sword
- Nahida – 5-Star Dendro Catalyst
- Hu Tao – 5-Star Pyro Polearm
Notably, having Xilonen and Chiori on the same banner makes the Weapon Banner highly attractive for those seeking a 5-Star sword for Geo support characters. Although the newly introduced craftable weapon in Genshin Impact is a viable option for Xilonen, the Uraku Misugiri remains a top-tier choice for any Sword user that scales with DEF. Additionally, both Nahida and Hu Tao come with their own signature weapons, like the Staff of Homa, which is also perfect for characters such as Zhongli and Xiangling.
Scheduled for release on October 9, 2024, Version 5.1 is set to feature a lineup of highly sought-after 5-Star characters. Fortunately, Genshin Impact players will have plenty of opportunities to gather Primogems in Version 5.0. With Mavuika's playable debut set for Version 5.3, players can save their resources in anticipation of the Pyro Archon's arrival.
