According to Twisted Voxel, the remaster was inadvertently revealed via the ESRB rating board before any official announcement. The information so far only confirms its name and the fact that it will be available on PC and PS5.

There’s speculation that this remaster could be timed to coincide with the release of the PS5 Pro on November 7, potentially showcasing the console's enhanced capabilities. However, this remains speculative as no concrete details have been confirmed yet.

Ongoing Rumors About the Remaster

Rumors of a revamped Horizon Zero Dawn have been circulating for some time. These rumors previously suggested a remake rather than a remaster, but they lacked significant details. Until Sony makes an official announcement, all that is confirmed is that a native, upgraded version for PS5 is in development.

Additionally, Horizon Zero Dawn is also getting a Lego game for Nintendo Switch, PC, and PS5.

The news of this remaster comes amidst a broader trend where Sony has been remastering and remaking relatively recent titles, such as Marvel's Spider-Man and The Last of Us. This has led to discussions among fans about whether this practice is necessary, especially when many are eagerly awaiting a 60fps update for Bloodborne.

Despite the debates, it’s undeniable that Horizon Zero Dawn continues to impress with its visuals and gameplay.
