Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 is making headlines as the fastest-selling game ever worked on by Saber Interactive's CEO, Tim Willits. This highly anticipated sequel to the 2011 original has captivated players with its dynamic blend of third-person shooting and hack-and-slash combat. Whether tackling the game solo or teaming up in multiplayer modes, players are immersing themselves in its intense and gritty universe.

Launched on PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, Space Marine 2 has quickly become one of September's standout releases. The game's dark and visceral world invites players to embark on thrilling missions with friends, while also offering extensive customization options for classes and equipment.
Tim Willits took to Twitter to highlight the game's impressive performance, revealing that Space Marine 2 is "the fastest-selling game we’ve ever worked on." The game has outpaced major franchises like Quake, Doom, and Rage in sales, a testament to its remarkable success. Willits also noted that Todd Hollenshead, the former CEO of id Software and a current collaborator at Saber, shares this sentiment. If these sales figures hold true, it marks a significant achievement for the Florida-based studio.

Space Marine 2 has received acclaim from reviewers and has quickly established itself as a major hit on Steam. Within just 24 hours of its release, the game attracted 225,690 players and earned an 80% approval rating from fans. This impressive start has made it the most-played Warhammer game on the platform, surpassing previous entries in the series.
Despite its recent launch, Saber Interactive is already looking ahead. The studio has unveiled a roadmap for Space Marine 2, which includes four seasons spanning 2024 and 2025. Season One, set to launch in September, will introduce ultrawide support, private PvE lobbies, and the Battle Barge Sparring Arena, all available to players for free.
