The eagerly awaited Dynamax update for Pokémon GO has arrived, introducing exciting new features like Power Spots and Max Particles. If you're eager to dive into the Dynamax experience, here's a comprehensive guide on what these features entail and how to make the most of them.
Launched on September 4th with the Max Out update, Power Spots are set to officially activate on September 10th. Think of Power Spots as the Dynamax counterparts to PokeStops and Gyms. They won't replace PokeStops or Gyms but will appear alongside them. Unlike fixed PokeStops or Gyms, Power Spots shift locations every few days.
To locate Power Spots, keep an eye out for purple orbs on your map. Alternatively, use the Nearby menu to find Power Spots in your vicinity. At a Power Spot, players can collect Max Particles, with a maximum of 800 Max Particles available daily and up to 100 Max Particles per Power Spot visit. Power Spots also serve as venues for Dynamax Battles. Defeating the boss at a Power Spot allows players to place a Pokémon there, which will then assist other trainers. In return, you’ll earn candy for your efforts.
Max Particles are essential for participating in Dynamax Battles. If you want to challenge a Pokémon at a Power Spot, you’ll need Max Particles. They also play a crucial role in leveling up Max Moves, a new type of move available to Dynamax-capable Pokémon. To unlock and enhance Max Moves, you'll need to spend Max Particles.
In summary, Max Particles are vital for engaging in Dynamax Battles and boosting your Pokémon’s abilities with Max Moves. Make sure to stock up on Max Particles and explore Power Spots to fully embrace the Dynamax update and enhance your Pokémon GO experience.
