Excitement is brewing in the Genshin Impact community as a recent leak sheds light on Ororon and Citlali, two anticipated characters. This update reveals their rarity, elements, weapon types, and their release schedule up to Version 5.4. Each new region in Genshin Impact brings a fresh cast of characters, sparking immediate fan interest and sometimes even surprises with unexpected favorites.
Among the latest wave of Natlan characters, Capitano and Mavuika have generated significant buzz on social media. However, other noteworthy characters such as Kinich, Xilonen, Ororon, and Citlali are also capturing the community's attention. While Kinich and Xilonen are slated to release soon as 5-Star characters, Ororon and Citlali's statuses were previously uncertain. Early information suggested that both would be 4-Star characters, debuting in Versions 5.2 and 5.3 respectively. However, recent updates indicate a change in plans.
According to reliable sources Iris Leaks and confirmed by FouL, Ororon and Citlali's roles have shifted. Ororon will debut as a 4-Star Electro Bow character in Version 5.2, alongside Chasca. In contrast, Citlali will appear as a 5-Star Cryo Catalyst in Version 5.3, alongside Mavuika. While Ororon’s status as a 4-Star might disappoint some, there’s a possibility that he will be a strong sub-DPS or support character, similar to Sethos, who was introduced in a recent update.
Character | Type | Release |
Mualani | 5-Star Hydro Catalyst | 5.0 |
Kachina | 4-Star Geo Polearm | 5.0 |
Kinich | 5-Star Dendro Claymore | 5.0 |
Xilonen | 5-Star Geo Sword | 5.1 |
Chasca | 5-Star Anemo Bow | 5.2 |
Ororon | 4-Star Electro Bow | 5.2 |
Mavuika | 5-Star Pyro Claymore | 5.3 |
Citlali | 5-Star Cryo Catalyst | 5.3 |
For Citlali fans, this update is especially promising. If her abilities remain as initially planned, Citlali will become the third 5-Star Shield Support character, potentially surpassing Layla in effectiveness. As a fortune-teller from Mictlan, Citlali's tribe is expected to feature prominently in the upcoming Natlan map expansion, providing players with more context about her background before she appears in Event Banners in Version 5.3.
Interestingly, Citlali’s change in rarity also suggests that Madame Ping’s playable debut will be postponed beyond the Lantern Rite event in 2025, similar to the delay experienced by Baizhu. While details beyond Version 5.3 remain under wraps, this leak gives Genshin Impact players a clear view of the anticipated character lineup leading up to Natlan's Archon Quest. Version 5.2 is expected to roll out in late November 2024.
