Pokémon GO is set to launch an exciting Raid Day event featuring Gen-8 Pokémon Falinks, including the debut of its Shiny variant. This special event will take place on September 8, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time, providing players with the rare opportunity to encounter and catch Shiny Falinks for the first time.
Falinks, a popular Fighting-type Pokémon introduced in Pokémon Sword and Shield, is known for its unique formation of six small, bipedal figures marching in unison, each adorned with a combat helmet. This Pokémon also appears in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, proving its lasting appeal beyond just one game.
During the Raid Day event, Falinks will appear more frequently in raids, and players will have an increased chance of encountering its Shiny form. To maximize your chances, it’s a good idea to stock up on Remote Raid Passes. Starting September 7 at 5 p.m. local time, the maximum number of Remote Raid Passes a player can hold will temporarily increase to 20. Additionally, players can earn up to five free Remote Raid Passes by spinning Gym Photo Discs during this period.
The event is free for all players, but a $5 Event Ticket is available for purchase in the game’s shop, offering additional perks. With an Event Ticket, players can collect eight more Remote Raid Passes from Gym Photo Discs, bringing the daily total to 14. The ticket also grants double Stardust and a 50% XP boost during Raid Battles. Furthermore, players can send Event Tickets to friends if they have reached a high enough Friend Level in Pokémon GO.
Looking ahead, Niantic is also gearing up for the Pokémon GO Wild Area event, which will launch globally in November following a limited release in Fukuoka, Japan. Details about this upcoming event remain under wraps, but anticipation is already building.
