Wuthering Waves Unveils 1.3 Gacha Banners

Wuthering Waves has officially revealed the gacha banners for its upcoming 1.3 update, including the highly anticipated first re-run in the popular action RPG. Since its launch in May, the RPG from Kuro Games has introduced a diverse selection of characters for players to build their teams. Currently, the game features 21 unique characters, alongside two different versions of the Rover. Now, with the confirmation of the 1.3 update banners, fans can look forward to the addition of two new characters.

As the 1.3 update prepares for release this weekend, Kuro Games has already given a glimpse of what players can expect in the new patch. The update will introduce a new area called the Black Shores, deeply tied to the story of the new five-star character, Shorekeeper. Additionally, a new Echo challenge will debut, with the Fallacy of No Return awaiting players within the newly expanded areas. Ahead of the update’s official release, Kuro Games has now revealed the upcoming gacha banners.

With less than 24 hours before the next update goes live, Kuro Games has officially announced the new banners. In the first half of the update, the five-star character Shorekeeper will be introduced, along with the four-star units Taoqi, Yangyang, and Chixia. The second half of the update will see the return of Jiyan as the game’s first re-run banner, accompanied by new four-star unit Youhu, alongside Sanhua and Mortefi. Three new weapons will also be available, including the five-star Rectifier Stellar Symphony and the four-star Endless Collapse and Celestial Spiral.

The new characters and weapons coming in Wuthering Waves 1.3 are set to bring exciting new gameplay possibilities. Shorekeeper is expected to play a pivotal support role, with speculation suggesting they may become the top support unit in the game. The four-star character Youhu is designed as a flexible unit, capable of serving both as a healer and sub-DPS, with RNG elements in her kit. Shorekeeper will be available starting September 29, while Youhu will join the game on October 24 alongside Jiyan’s banner.

Alongside these new characters, the 1.3 update will expand Wuthering Waves' main story content. Players will journey to the Black Shores to uncover the origins of the region and meet the enigmatic Shorekeeper. A new Companion Story titled "Small Wooly, Big Adventures" will also be available, focusing on Encore, a five-star character from Version 1.0.
