Genshin Impact has launched an exciting new web event in honor of its fourth anniversary, offering players the chance to earn free Primogems as rewards. Since its debut in late 2020, the beloved open-world action RPG from HoYoverse has achieved remarkable success, attracting millions of players to the expansive world of Teyvat.
With its impressive player base, Genshin Impact has not only thrived but has also positively influenced HoYoverse’s newer titles, such as Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero. Now, as the RPG officially marks its fourth anniversary, the celebrations are in full swing.
September 28 signifies the four-year milestone of Genshin Impact, and HoYoverse has already commenced the anniversary festivities with the latest update. The introduction of the new region, Natlan, has provided players with numerous Primogems through login events and in-game bonuses.
Moreover, the developer made headlines by announcing that players could select a free five-star character from the standard character pool following the launch of Natlan. The celebrations are now enhanced with the newest web event themed around the anniversary.
Officially launched on Saturday, the "Starlight Reverie" web event commemorates the game's fourth anniversary. In line with previous anniversary web events, Starlight Reverie provides players with a variety of statistics about their accounts, such as login days and Daily Commissions completed. Players can earn Primogems as rewards by completing various sections of the anniversary recap, accumulating a total of 180 Primogems from the main event and an additional 100 for referring returning friends. This web event will remain active until October 12.
While the fourth anniversary of Genshin Impact is being celebrated, past anniversary events have often stirred up controversy. The community has previously expressed dissatisfaction over the perceived stinginess of HoYoverse in providing rewards during these yearly celebrations. However, this year's anniversary has brought several long-requested rewards, including the previously mentioned free five-star character and multiple login reward campaigns.
The fourth anniversary celebration coincides with an influx of new content introduced with the launch of Natlan. This new region has added three fresh characters to the roster—Mualani, Kinich, and Kachina—while teasing further character releases on the horizon. Additionally, Genshin Impact has implemented several significant quality-of-life enhancements, such as a tracking system for Local Specialty items and warnings for lengthy quests, among other improvements. HoYoverse's increased emphasis on player experience and more generous rewards marks a promising start for Genshin Impact as it enters its next year.
