In the latest Special Program livestream for Version 5.1, Genshin Impact has introduced three exciting new characters: Xilonen, Citlali, and Ororon. While Xilonen is set to be the only new addition to the playable roster in this update, players can look forward to the next two Acts of Natlan's Archon Quest, featuring the Masters of the Night Wind. The community is buzzing with anticipation for Xilonen, who is expected to bring a fresh dynamic as a versatile Geo Support character.
Although Version 5.1 won’t introduce a new area to explore, it will implement an exciting new reward system for open-world exploration. For a limited time, players can earn 100 Primogems for every 20% of exploration progress completed in a newly released zone, up to a maximum of 400 Primogems. This reward structure will apply to future map expansions as well, but players can only claim these bonuses within a limited timeframe of two patches.
The highlight of this update undeniably lies in the new characters. Xilonen, Citlali, and Ororon will play significant roles in the Archon Quest for Version 5.1. Ororon, a 4-Star Electro Bow user, is anticipated to make his playable debut in Version 5.2, while Citlali, a rumored 5-Star Cryo Catalyst, is slated for a release in Version 5.3. As for Xilonen, the 5-Star Geo Sword user will take center stage in the first half of the Event Banners alongside Chiori.
In the second half of the patch, players can expect Hu Tao and Nahida to feature on the Event Banners, with Nahida also playing a key part in the flagship event of Version 5.1. The beloved Sabzeruz Festival is set to return, offering players the chance to earn a free copy of Candace through participation. With Xilonen, Chiori, Hu Tao, and Nahida all featured in this update, the Event Banners are shaping up to be exceptionally robust. Additionally, Version 5.1 will introduce three new 4-Star weapons to the Weapon Banner.
Players can also look forward to encountering a new World Boss, the Secret Source Constructor, who will provide Ascension materials for Xilonen upon defeat. While the upcoming update may offer fewer Primogems than usual, Version 5.2 promises a new map expansion and the introduction of two new tribes, allowing players to gather extra pulls in preparation for Mavuika’s release in Version 5.3.
