At the start of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Princess Zelda finds herself imprisoned in the underground dungeons of Hyrule Castle. Here, you’ll meet your companion, Tri, who grants you the powerful Tri Rod. By interacting with the wooden table in your cell, Zelda will unlock the Table Echo ability.
Once you leave the prison cell, Zelda will encounter some of the most alert Hyrule guards. Your goal is to carefully navigate through the area without being detected. The path runs to the far left, but the challenge lies in avoiding the guards. This guide will provide the best strategies for slipping past security and advancing in Echoes of Wisdom.
Along the way, Zelda will also acquire useful Echoes, like the Hyrule Castle Pot and Wooden Box Echoes, which are key for creating distractions to bypass the guards.
First Guard
For the first guard stationed alone in the room, stack two tables against the shelf, then place another in front of the stack. Climb onto the stack to slip past the guard undetected.
Guards 2 and 3
The next two guards patrol around some storage junk. Summon the Box Echo in front of the lower path, blocking their route. This will cause both guards to get stuck in the lower section, allowing you to sneak past them from behind without being noticed.
Guards 4 and 5
The following two guards are facing the wall and can be avoided easily. No need to distract or engage with them—just slip by quietly.
Guard 6
To get past guard number six, climb the wooden ladder on the right and walk across the barrels at the back of the room. On this platform, you can obtain the Hyrule Castle Pot Echo, which allows you to throw pots to distract guards—or even jump inside the pot and move stealthily.
Guard 7
For the guard near the Hyrule pots, throw a pot towards the northern corner. This will draw his attention, giving you a chance to sneak behind him and make your way to the next section.
Final Guard
For the last guard, summon the Pot Echo and throw it to the south. The exact location doesn’t matter much—just make sure you have enough time and space to slip by on the left side without getting spotted.
After escaping the dungeon, you’ll meet Impa, and Zelda will finally get the chance to change into Link’s hooded outfit.
This stealth sequence is just the beginning of Zelda’s adventure in Echoes of Wisdom, where patience and strategy are essential for success. Good luck!
