We have used Sykes many times over the years, and we are always pleased with the quality of available bookings, and the sheer amount of bookings to choose from in all areas. I've never had an issue as far as I can remember, other than having a booking cancelled due to Covid, which was promptly refunded by the vendor, all facilitated by Sykes. The app is very good as well, easy to use and navigate.

Couple of things stop this being a 5 star app. Pressing the back button when you are looking at cottages quits you out of the app instead of going back to the search list. Secondly, why is there no option to share a cottage? Currently you have to remember the number and look it up in a browser to be able to share a link; trying to show a cottage to some friends really shouldn't be that hard.

App works pretty well. Would be better if you could save 'favourites' the way you can on the website. My biggest complaint is about the calendar function. I can't get further than September. So I can't book anything in December. This seems to because of the way the days fall in September. It is pushing the month name and the 'next' arrow up underneath the Sykes Cottages logo at the top of the screen. So I can't click the 'next' arrow.

This is the first time I've used an app to book my holiday rather than the web, but it was well worth it. The filters are great. I selected Cornwall, then it let me look at different types of properties - like close to the sea, close to the pub, with a hot tub, close to shops etc... I was very happy with the house, everyone loved it and was clean and tidy when we arrived. Just as it looked in the pictures and the bedrooms were lovely. All the appliances worked as stated and the garden was great

They recently started a only £20 deposit scheme, but if you have to pull out you don't just lose that they hit you with a percentage of the booking and their fee . In my case it could be nearly £170 pounds it's a win win for both the agent and owner. Their fee £39 can claimed again on a new booking , and the owner gets the rest and can rebook the property. It does mention it in the small print in red writing so this is a heads up to anyone thinking of the £20 scheme That's immediate in place
