Fortnite’s Absolute Doom event ramps up the intensity with powerful Avengers-themed weapons, Medallions, and an array of Mythic items. While Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets are highly sought after, even more formidable gear has arrived with the latest Iron Man update.
With the introduction of the v31.20 patch, players can now access Stark Industries technology, including the hard-hitting Stark Industries Energy Rifle. But the biggest highlight is the arrival of Iron Man himself, bringing two additional Mythic items. Here's a detailed guide on how to get both of Iron Man’s Mythics in Fortnite.
Iron Man’s Flight Kit can be most commonly found in Stark Industry Chests, which are located at several Stark Mobile Armory drop sites across the map. These locations include:
- The Other Windmill landmark
- North of The Cemetery landmark
- North of Coastal Columns landmark
- Northwest of the Dumpenhausen landmark
- East of Ship It! Station landmark
- Southwest of Mount Olympus
There are only six Stark Industry Chests scattered across the entire map, and with Battle Royale games starting with 90-100 players, competition for these locations will be fierce.
Alternatively, you can guarantee finding Iron Man’s Flight Kit by looting the Stark Mobile Armory. These armories appear at the same drop sites as Stark Industry Chests but will only spawn later in the match. When they do, they’ll be marked on the map, and players will need to race to them as they can only be looted once. Make sure you head to the Iron Man-themed Stark Mobile Armory, as it’s the only one that guarantees both Iron Man’s Flight Kit and Combat Kit. Keep in mind, looting the War Machine Mobile Armory will only provide War Machine’s gear.
Iron Man’s Flight Kit is a powerful mobility tool, allowing players to traverse the map swiftly and stylishly. Unlike War Machine’s Hover Jets, you must have Iron Man’s Flight Kit equipped to use it. To activate the Flight Kit, simply press the Fire button (Left Click/RT/R2). Once in the air, players can perform various actions, including:
- Ram Attack (Left Click/RT/R2)
- Unibeam (Right Click/LT/L2)
- Ascend (Space/A/X)
- Descend (Left Ctrl/RS/R3)
- Dodge Left (Q/X/Square)
- Dodge Right (R/B/Circle)
Keep in mind that the Flight Kit has limited fuel. Once depleted, or if canceled mid-flight by switching items, it will enter a 20-second cooldown period.
Similar to the Flight Kit, Iron Man’s Combat Kit can frequently be found in Stark Industries Chests located at Stark Mobile Armory drop points. Additionally, players have a slim chance of finding it in regular or Rare Chests.
For those who prefer a more direct approach, Iron Man’s Combat Kit can be purchased directly from Iron Man for 600 Gold Bars. You can find Iron Man at the Stark Mobile Armory drop zone northeast of Grim Gate. But be prepared for heavy competition, as many players will be seeking the same prize. Like Captain America’s Shield, which is sold by Captain Jones, Iron Man carries only one Combat Kit, so act fast before someone else snags it.
Iron Man’s Combat Kit is a Mythic offensive item that grants players access to two powerful attacks: the Repulsors and the Unibeam. Both are capable of delivering devastating damage. Here’s a quick overview of the Combat Kit’s controls:
- Fire Repulsors (Left Click/RT/R2) – Launch a guided ranged attack that deals 30 damage per hit.
- Unibeam (Right Click/LT/L2) – Charge and fire a powerful laser that deals 90 damage per hit. The Unibeam enters a 20-second cooldown after each use.
Both of Iron Man’s Mythics provide significant advantages in combat, so make sure you secure them to dominate your next Fortnite match.
