Megaloot offers the ultimate pixelated paradise for loot hunters. With a vast selection of weapons, armor, rings, and amulets, players can experiment with countless gear combinations to find that perfect synergy. As the game’s title suggests, there’s an overwhelming amount of loot to sort through, but some weapons consistently rise above the rest.
While your character build and keystones determine the types of loot you’ll chase, certain weapons in Megaloot are universally beneficial. These weapons are invaluable for their ability to be dismantled for permanent stat boosts at the end of each floor. So, let’s dive into the top nine weapons you’ll want to snag!
Inherent Set(s): Wood, Swiftness
The Training Sword won’t carry you through the later stages of the game, but it’s a solid choice early on. With the Wood set, you gain a percentage-based damage reduction, while the Swiftness set grants extra attacks per turn.
If you combine this with a third set like Golden or Scout, the first floor becomes a breeze. Just make sure to keep an eye out for Boar enemies—they’ll stun you and ruin your run if you're not paying attention.
Inherent Set(s): Monomana
Though it may not have impressive base damage, the Mana Gauntlet is a must-have for spellcasters due to its Monomana set. This set boosts your max mana by one and fully regenerates your mana at the end of your first turn.
Equip it on a spell-focused character like Kinno, or pair it with the Arcanum set, which boosts Magic damage by 375 percent and provides a magic shield. You’ll have a powerful synergy that pays off early in your run.
Inherent Set(s): Ancient Ice, Swiftness
If you’ve already collected Ethercrest’s Sabatons on floor two and Ethercrest’s Helmet on floor three, keep an eye out for Ethercrest’s Blade on floor four. This weapon doubles your attacks per turn and scales damage based on the number of Ancient Ice set items you’ve equipped.
If you’re playing as Fren or Sid, or have a keystone that adds attacks to each turn, you’ll be dishing out loads of Freeze stacks to your enemies. Combine it with Multi Attack from the Demonic set for even more destruction.
Inherent Set(s): Dazzle, Swiftness
Dazzle is a fantastic mechanic that provides both offensive and defensive power through Sparkle stacks, which don’t disappear after each turn, and Ephemeral Armor for temporary protection. It’s a mechanic you definitely don’t want to overlook.
The Qolk stands out among Dazzle weapons because it also includes the Swiftness set, meaning more attacks on your first turn and a higher accumulation of Sparkle and Ephemeral Armor stacks.
Inherent Set(s): Ancient Shell
For players focusing on defense, the Turtle Gauntlet is perfect for building up massive amounts of armor. When dismantled at the end of a floor, it boosts your damage based on your defense percentage. However, it won’t appear until floor 15.
If you’ve already equipped other items from the Ancient Shell set, replacing your current weapon with the Turtle Gauntlet will give you even more Armor Shield stacks. After all, you can’t defeat enemies if you’re not alive to do so.
Inherent Set(s): Demonic, Swiftness
The Demonic Claymore is a heavy hitter, combining respectable base damage with the Demonic and Swiftness sets. It’s designed for taking down multiple enemies in a single turn. However, you may still need to skip your turn when facing a Kotya.
With the right build, this weapon lets you focus entirely on offense, aiming to eliminate enemies as quickly as possible—because they can’t hurt you if they’re already dead.
Inherent Set(s): Vampiric
If you favor the Vampiric set or are a fan of Elys, the Bloodedge is a weapon you’ll want to pick up. It excels in building physical damage, life steal, and armor penetration, especially on floor 15 and beyond.
Pairing it with the Flesh set, which offers health scaling and recovery, makes the most of the life steal mechanic. Just be sure to add a third set for defensive purposes; after all, you need more than just a high health pool to survive.
Inherent Set(s): Darkness, Wood
Though it’s obtained later in the game, the Rod of Doom is a powerful option for magic-focused builds. With its combination of Darkness and Wood sets, it can deliver staggering amounts of damage, easily reaching into the thousands.
While the Wood set isn’t typically one you’d hold onto long-term, the sheer amount of damage and gold this weapon provides makes it worth keeping for a while—until you’re ready to pivot your gear.
Inherent Set(s): None
Contrary to what its name might suggest, the Throngler isn’t something pulled from a sci-fi cartoon—it’s one of the strongest weapons in the game. It grants substantial boosts to physical damage, max health, and critical damage, making it a formidable choice.
Though it doesn’t come with an inherent set, the Throngler is often best converted into permanent stats. Alternatively, it can be used strategically for a massive boost to your gold gain, helping you work toward even more powerful gear
