Epic Games has introduced a new Community Goal event in Fortnite that unites the player base for a limited time, offering exclusive rewards for just playing the game. Following the release of patch 31.20, players were treated to a wave of fresh content, from a Marvel-themed limited-time mode (LTM) to the highly anticipated LEGO Fortnite update. But the most exciting part? You can earn rewards simply by playing Fortnite and taking part in this event.
By joining the Fortnite Community Goal event, players can contribute to the overall progress and unlock a variety of rewards along the way. This guide will explain how the Absolute Doom Community Goal event works and how you can claim your rewards.
To participate in the Community Goal event, players must first log into their Epic Games account via the official Fortnite Battle Royale Community Goal webpage. This login is necessary for Epic Games to track your progress and add it toward the community objective.
In this event, players will need to survive storm circles in various game modes such as Battle Royale, Zero Build, or Ranked. There are two sets of goals—personal objectives and community milestones—so you can earn rewards based on your individual contributions as well as the progress made by the entire player base.
This Community Goal event offers two types of rewards: individual rewards earned by collecting badges and community milestone rewards unlocked when the entire community reaches certain goals.
As you contribute to the event, you’ll earn badges that unlock exclusive rewards. To earn a badge, players must survive three storm circles. Here’s how to unlock each individual reward:
- Ghost Ri-Durrr banner icon
- Simply sign up for the Community Goal event.
- Meow! spray
- Earn 6 badges by surviving 18 storm circles.
- Star Show wrap
- Earn 11 badges by surviving 33 storm circles.
In addition to individual rewards, the entire Fortnite community can work together to hit milestones, which unlock additional rewards. Even if you haven’t collected any badges, as long as you’ve signed up for the event, you’re eligible to receive these milestone rewards.
Here are the rewards unlocked as the community reaches each milestone:
- Meowtooth banner icon
- Milestone 1: 9,000,000 storm circles survived.
- Condiment Wrath spray
- Milestone 2: 18,000,000 storm circles survived.
- Sweet Dango back bling
- Milestone 3: 27,000,000 storm circles survived.
The Absolute Doom Battle Royale Community Goal event is only available for a limited time. Fortnite players have until Sunday, September 22, at 12 AM to survive as many storm circles as possible and unlock all the rewards.
