In Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, players can collect a variety of in-game currencies, all of which are earned through gameplay without any microtransactions. These currencies are crucial for unlocking upgrades for classes, weapons, and armor customization. Understanding how to obtain and utilize each currency is key to optimizing your loadout and enhancing your gameplay experience.

Space Marine 2 features five primary currencies, all of which are earned through Operations - replayable PvE missions that become more rewarding with increased difficulty. To build the best loadout, players need to familiarize themselves with these currencies and how to acquire them.

Armory Data is the most fundamental currency in Space Marine 2. It is acquired by completing Trials for each class in the Armoring Hall or through Operations of varying difficulties:
- Threat: Minimal – 35 Armory Data
- Threat: Average – 55 Armory Data
- Threat: Substantial – 95 Armory Data
- Threat: Ruthless – 165 Armory Data
Armory Data is represented by a tan circle within another circle. Players can check their Armory Data total at the top left of the Armoring Hall in the Battle Barge.
Armory Data is used for:
- Class Perks (typically 20 Armory Data per perk)
- Chapter Customization (20 to 90 Armory Data)
- New Weapon Versions (20 to 90 Armory Data depending on weapon level)

This currency, marked by a distinct green symbol, is awarded for completing Trials for each class for the first time or by defeating bosses in Operations. It can also be collected from Servo-Skulls found randomly during Operations. Master-Crafted Armory Data can be earned on:
- Threat: Minimal
- Threat: Average
It is used in the Armoring Hall to Master both Standard and Master-Crafted weapons, requiring 1500 XP for activation.
3. Artificer Armory Data
Artificer Armory Data, identified by a purple symbol, is obtained from Operations started on Threat: Substantial difficulty. This currency can be found on Servo-Skulls and through victories against random boss encounters. It is used to unlock Artificer weapons, which require 7500 XP in a specific weapon to obtain a Mastery Point.

The gold variant of the Armory Data symbol, Relic Armory Data, is the rarest currency. It is earned by collecting Servo-Skulls and winning boss fights in Operations on Threat: Ruthless difficulty. This currency is used to extract Mastery Points from weapons with 17,000 XP in the Relic category, representing the top-tier weapons in the game.
Mastery Points are acquired by spending Armory Data on specific weapons. To obtain a Mastery Point, players must:
1. Select a weapon.
2. Spend Armory Data to purchase the weapon.
3. Use Master-Crafted/Artificer/Relic Armory Data to achieve a mastery rank for that weapon.
Mastery Points are used within a weapon's Perk Tree to unlock enhancements such as increased damage, faster attack speeds, and maximum ammo reserves. Note that Mastery Points are specific to each weapon and class, so players should strategically use Armory Data to upgrade weapons they want to improve.
By understanding and effectively utilizing these currencies, players can tailor their loadouts to their unique play style and improve their performance in Space Marine 2.
