Exciting changes are on the horizon for Clash Royale as the game prepares to introduce Evolutions for the Mega Knight and P.E.K.K.A. cards. These new and upgraded versions of two fan-favorite cards are slated to make their official debut in the upcoming Clash Royale season.

Evolutions first made their appearance in Clash Royale in June 2023, bringing new life to cards like Barbarians, Royal Giant, Firecracker, and Skeletons. As of September 2024, players have enjoyed a total of 21 unique Evolution variants. Now, the Mega Knight and P.E.K.K.A. are set to join this evolving lineup, marking significant additions to the game.

Premature Release and Upcoming Launch

Both the Mega Knight and P.E.K.K.A. Evolutions were briefly available to some players ahead of schedule, though they were quickly removed by Supercell in late August 2024. According to RoyaleAPI, the P.E.K.K.A. Evolution will be released before the Mega Knight variant, with both expected to arrive in September 2024.

Season 63 and Evolution Details

Game Rant confirmed with Supercell that the Evolutions were mistakenly included in a maintenance update on August 30. For a short time, players could use Evolution Shards to unlock these new variants, but access was revoked shortly after. Those who spent Shards will likely see them returned to their accounts. While the exact release date remains unspecified, both Evolutions are scheduled to launch with Season 63, which begins on September 2, just ahead of the Mega Knight’s seventh anniversary.

New Evolution Abilities

The Evolutions will bring exciting new abilities to the Mega Knight and P.E.K.K.A.:

- Healing Blade (P.E.K.K.A.): This ability allows the P.E.K.K.A. to heal 12.5% of its health after each kill, with the potential to overheal by an additional 50%.

- Mega Uppercut (Mega Knight): This move lets the Mega Knight punch a target, pushing it back up to four tiles, which is just enough to activate its jump attack if it isn’t distracted.

Given the high cost of these cards, Supercell has decided to limit their Evolution cycles, meaning each will evolve every other deployment. Both Evolutions have the potential to become powerful assets in Clash Royale decks, offering substantial damage and new strategic possibilities.
