Pokemon GO has introduced a new feature called Party Play in its latest update. With Party Play, trainers can team up with friends and explore the Pokemon world together, bringing new opportunities for collaboration and enhancing the overall experience.
Party Play allows trainers to form groups of up to three friends for social interactions. To create a team, trainers can use a QR code or an alphanumeric code, similar to the Union Circle feature in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. In order to join a party, trainers need to be physically close to their friends and have reached a minimum trainer level of 15.
One of the benefits of Party Play is the Party Power gauge, which gradually fills up when participating in raid battles with your squad. The gauge increases with fast attacks, and when it's full, your next charged attack will deal double the damage. This makes it easier to defeat powerful foes like mega-evolved Pokemon and Shadow Raid monsters such as the rare Shiny Shadow Lugia.
Party Play goes beyond raid battles and encourages joint exploration expeditions. Trainers can see each other on their overworld maps, adding a competitive element to contests like who has traveled the farthest or caught the most Pokemon. It's important to note that Party Play teams are temporary, so if you decide to split up or log off, you'll need to reconnect to continue your shared adventures.
To host a party, trainers need to open Pokemon GO, go to their Trainer profile, tap the new Party tab, select Create, and then share the generated numerical or QR code with up to three nearby trainers. To join a party, trainers follow a similar process: open Pokemon GO, go to their Trainer profile, tap the Party tab, select Join Party, and either scan the host's QR code or manually enter a numerical code.
Here are some key features of Party Play to keep in mind:
1. Maximum Party Size: Each party can have up to four members. Even if the party isn't full, any player can invite additional members during the session.
2. Session Limitations: Party statistics do not carry over to subsequent sessions, even if you play with the same group of people.
3. Party Challenges: Players can choose from three objectives at any time. When the current challenge is completed, all team members receive the same reward. Completing Party Challenges may also grant rare in-game rewards, such as the Party Play-exclusive Eevee avatar.
While Party Play doesn't introduce exclusive Pokemon, its cooperative and competitive aspects promise to make Pokemon GO even more engaging and enjoyable to play.
