Waze Introduces Exciting New Features Inspired by World of Warcraft

Waze has officially rolled out a series of World of Warcraft-themed features for its navigation app, including a voice for Thrall, a dragon-themed vehicle icon, and mood icons representing both the Alliance and Horde. These fun World of Warcraft customizations are now available for free on the Waze app, requiring no purchase for fans to enjoy.

While various navigation apps exist, Waze sets itself apart with its extensive range of fun customization options and interactive features that engage users. Owned by Google, Waze offers delightful icons for drivers and an array of sidekicks that provide vocal guidance, reminiscent of classic fantasy role-playing game NPCs from titles like Dungeons and Dragons.

The latest additions inspired by World of Warcraft allow Waze users to select Thrall as their navigation sidekick, voiced by the esteemed Warcraft creative director, Chris Metzen. As the iconic Orc Shaman guides drivers, he offers spiritual support and humor. When faced with traffic, Thrall reassures users, saying, “breathe — this is not the end of the world.” He even adds a fun twist to navigating with lines like, “this is not a retreat; merely a tactical maneuver,” when discussing U-turns. With the familiar voice of the former Warchief of the Horde, fans can carry a piece of Azeroth with them on their journeys.
