An Animal Crossing: New Horizons player recently stumbled upon an enchanting aspect of the game’s café while inviting a former villager for a coffee date. During this interaction, they discovered that the invited villager still recalls their time living on the player’s island.

As the latest entry in the beloved Animal Crossing franchise, New Horizons allows players to manage their very own island paradise. It features many fan-favorite elements from previous titles, including Brewster's Café. To unlock Brewster's Café, known as The Roost, players must donate a set number of items to their museum, consult Blathers, and follow his instructions. The café offers a cozy spot for players to order coffee and engage in conversations with other villagers and NPCs. Additionally, players can utilize the amiibo Call Center to invite characters, including both villagers and special NPCs like the Able Sisters, to join them at the café.
Recently, Reddit user Searching-For-Home highlighted a delightful detail when they invited the villager Ankha, who had previously lived on their island, to The Roost. Even after moving away, Ankha remembered her past residence and fondly reminisced about her time there while chatting with the player.

This thoughtful design choice from Nintendo enhances the charm of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, adding depth to the gameplay experience. Despite being released for a while now, this Reddit user's discovery showcases the numerous hidden gems still waiting to be uncovered within the game. Another player recently noted an adorable detail about Daisy Mae, revealing that she refrains from ordering coffee at The Roost due to her young age—another testament to the developers' attention to detail.

With The Roost and Brewster being among the more recent features added to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, it’s no wonder players continue to find new and delightful details within it. The inclusion of villagers who remember players after moving away adds a layer of warmth and connection, making the world of Animal Crossing: New Horizons feel even more vibrant and alive.
