Since its release in 2023, EA Vancouver has committed to regularly introducing new fighters to UFC 5. With the end of September approaching, fans will soon have the opportunity to explore the free content update, allowing them to take control of lightweight contender Chase Hooper and featherweight Lerone Murphy, who is currently ranked twelfth in his division. Update 1.14 will also include various balance tweaks and fixes aimed at enhancing the gameplay experience for both grapplers and strikers.

Before the upcoming patch, EA unveiled two new alter egos for fighters Alexander Volkanovski and Brian Ortega on September 25. The pair engaged in a memorable five-round battle during UFC 226 in 2021, with Volkanovski claiming victory by unanimous decision. To commemorate the three-year anniversary of this thrilling match, EA has launched a new "on this day" alter-ego series that captures the fighters as they were on the date of their bout.

With the release of patch 1.14, players will get to experience the skills of lightweight star Chase Hooper, a 25-year-old grappler known for his submission expertise—perfect for players aiming to secure a submission victory. Additionally, Lerone Murphy, who has recently made a name for himself in the UFC featherweight rankings, will be available. Murphy holds a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and is recognized for his explosive striking ability and impressive stamina.

This September 26 update also features various balance adjustments and bug fixes, including a reduction in the stamina advantage needed for certain ground transitions. While there are no striking adjustments in this patch, players can look forward to important bug fixes detailed in the official patch notes below.
