A recent survey from Behaviour Interactive, the developer and publisher of Dead by Daylight, hints at potential horror crossovers coming to the game. While Dead by Daylight already boasts a diverse range of crossover content, the horror genre still holds many exciting opportunities to explore.
Since its launch in 2016, Dead by Daylight has featured around 20 crossovers, varying from simple additions of new Killers to immersive experiences complete with themed maps and Survivors. Previous collaborations have connected Dead by Daylight with beloved franchises like Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and even Stranger Things.
Released earlier this week and promoted through Dead by Daylight’s official Twitter, the survey seeks to gauge fan enjoyment of the game and past events. Notably, some respondents will encounter a list of 76 different intellectual properties, inviting them to choose which ones they’d most like to see in future crossover promotions. While many options are rooted in horror, there are also some unexpected entries, including games like Fallout and Devil May Cry, along with the whimsical inclusion of the children's show Teletubbies.
The survey features a variety of intriguing options for potential crossovers, including:
- Akira
- American Horror Story
- Beetlejuice
- Candyman
- Chainsaw Man
- Dead Space
- Demon Slayer
- Evil Within
- Friday the 13th
- Ghostbusters
- IT
- Jujutsu Kaisen
- Jurassic Park
- Mortal Kombat
- Scooby Doo
- The Walking Dead
- Universal Monsters (Frankenstein, The Invisible Man, The Mummy)
While not every participant in the survey will see the same questions, some will be prompted to name a franchise they wish to see added and indicate whether they envision it as a new chapter or a cosmetic collection. The game's social media team has confirmed this variability to gather a broader range of data on players' interests.
As Dead by Daylight looks toward the future, September has already been a significant month for the game, featuring the limited-time return of the Lights Out and Chaos Shuffle modes, along with sales on various characters. Additionally, players were introduced to The Casting of Frank Stone, a narrative horror adventure developed by Supermassive Games, further expanding the Dead by Daylight universe.
As the community eagerly anticipates future updates, this survey hints at thrilling possibilities for crossovers that could elevate the gaming experience even further.
