- Shadow of the Simurgh: Continue progressing through the main storyline until you reach the Upper City and meet Vahram. Following your encounter, you’ll be transported to The Depths, a new area where your map will be temporarily unavailable. While navigating The Depths, you'll need to chase down an old man to recover it. Eventually, Sargon will face a boss battle against an alternate version of himself. Starting The Mask Of Darkness DLC

Once you’ve acquired both the Rush of the Simurgh and the Shadow of the Simurgh, head to the Haven located in the Lower City. There, speak with Neith to initiate the DLC. After a brief dialogue, Neith will assign you the 'A Snake in the Grass' side quest.

This quest marks Neith's location on your map. To continue, head a short distance west of the Haven and interact with Neith at the marked location. This will transport you to a new realm where the Mask of Darkness DLC begins.

At the start of this DLC, Sargon will lose all his amulets, health upgrades, and time powers—except for the Rush of the Simurgh and the Shadow of the Simurgh. You will have only three health bars and will need to seek out new health upgrades and unique time powers throughout the DLC.

While playing Mask of Darkness, you won’t be entirely cut off from the main game. Special purple portals found near Soma trees can be used to teleport back to Mount Qaf, allowing you to continue exploring or return to unfinished content in the base game.
