Spoiler Alert: This article contains spoilers for Disney's Elemental.
Disney Dreamlight Valley is an enchanting life simulation game where players can immerse themselves in a magical world filled with beloved Disney and Pixar characters. In this whimsical valley, players can chat with villagers, give gifts, complete quests, and engage in activities like fishing, gardening, mining, and more. The game launched with fan-favorites like Mickey, Goofy, Elsa, and Woody, creating a nostalgic experience for Disney lovers.
One of the most exciting aspects of Dreamlight Valley is its continuous stream of new content. Since its debut, the game has welcomed new characters like Jafar and Tiana, with plenty more on the horizon. Yet, despite the ever-expanding roster, there’s one movie that has yet to make its mark in Dreamlight Valley but certainly deserves a place—Elemental.
Elemental brings some of Disney’s most imaginative characters and concepts to life. Set in Element City, the film features residents of fire, earth, water, and air elements, making Ember (Fire) and Wade (Water) ideal candidates for Dreamlight Valley. Their dynamic relationship, which evolves throughout the movie, could continue within the game. At the end of the film, Ember embarks on a glass-designing internship, leaving behind her family, and this story could be beautifully expanded in Dreamlight Valley by introducing Ember and Wade, perhaps running a glass shop together.
Bringing Wade into the game could open up exciting quest possibilities, like a mission where Ursula traps Ember in a water bubble, and players must help Wade save her before it’s too late, echoing the underwater Vivisteria Flower scene from the movie. Moreover, Dreamlight Valley already features Elemental-inspired clothing and furniture, such as the "Circular Embossed Metal Fireplace" modeled after the film’s Blue Flame. Hairstyles like Blazing Pixie and Blooming Bob also pay homage to the elemental themes. It seems only natural that the characters themselves should now make their debut.
At its heart, Elemental is a romantic comedy about two people from different worlds finding love, but its unique setting is what makes it shine. Pixar crafted an entirely new world based on the four elements, with Element City divided into distinct districts—Firetown, the Water District, Earthville, and Airville—each tailored to its residents. Firetown features homes made of materials like metal and brick, with chimneys to suit its fiery inhabitants, while the Water District is filled with glass, reflective buildings, and flowing water structures. The distinct cultures and visuals of each district make Elemental’s world feel vibrant and alive.
In Dreamlight Valley, realms are special areas that allow players to visit iconic locations from their favorite Disney films. For example, players can step into Remy’s kitchen in the Ratatouille Realm, Bonnie’s toy-filled bedroom in the Toy Story Realm, or explore the desolate Wall-E Realm. Given that the essence of Elemental lies in its creative world-building, adding only the characters without the full realm would miss a huge opportunity.
Players should be able to explore all four elemental districts of Element City. Imagine hopping on the Wetro train from the movie, grabbing a bite at Ember’s restaurant, trying glass designing, or strolling through the dreamy Vivisteria Flower. The world of Elemental is filled with endless possibilities that seem tailor-made for a sandbox game like Dreamlight Valley. It’s not just the characters that would enrich the game, but the entire realm itself.
With so much creative potential, bringing Elemental into Dreamlight Valley—complete with its own realm—would be a game-changer, offering fans an immersive experience that truly captures the magic of Disney.
