Fans of Xbox who were disheartened by the indefinite delay of Enotria: The Last Song can finally breathe a sigh of relief. Jyamma Games, the Italian developer behind this hardcore action Soulslike game, has recently provided a promising update regarding the Xbox version. Set to launch on PC and PlayStation 5 on September 19, Enotria has faced some setbacks on Xbox due to issues between the developer and Microsoft.
Jyamma Games had originally planned to release the Xbox version alongside the PS5 and PC editions. However, the game’s launch was postponed indefinitely on Xbox after Jyamma's CEO, Giacomo Greco, revealed that the studio struggled to get a response from Microsoft concerning submission and certification. This situation mirrors past delays experienced by major titles, such as Baldur's Gate 3, which also faced delays on Xbox for non-exclusivity reasons before its eventual December release.
Following Greco’s frustration over the delay, Jyamma Games has recently shared an encouraging update. In a tweet, the studio announced that Xbox head Phil Spencer had reached out with an apology and that Jyamma is now working closely with Microsoft to expedite the Xbox port's release.
Despite the positive turn of events, the exact release date for Enotria: The Last Song on Xbox remains uncertain. It’s likely that the Xbox version will miss its original September 19 release date. However, with the Xbox build already completed and Microsoft now actively collaborating with Jyamma, there is hope that the game could launch on Xbox by the end of the year, potentially even in October, though this remains speculative.
Xbox gamers should stay tuned to Jyamma Games' social media channels for the latest updates on the Xbox release date. Meanwhile, fans on PC and PlayStation 5 can look forward to diving into Enotria: The Last Song on September 19.
