In Genshin Impact, the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant is a formidable new boss introduced in the Natlan region. Positioned north of the Stadium of the Sacred Flame, this boss can be found within a cave beneath the Huitzli Hill mountains.
Finding the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant is straightforward—simply head towards the underground teleportation waypoint. For players aiming to enhance Mualani, defeating this boss is crucial as it provides essential ascension materials. If you're having trouble, this guide offers effective strategies to conquer the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant.
For those who haven’t unlocked all map waypoints, start by teleporting to the Statue of Seven in the area. From there, head north to find the boss. To streamline exploration, consider unlocking all nearby teleportation waypoints.
Approaching a camp, follow the road until you spot a small cave entrance. Continue through this entrance to reach the underground teleportation waypoint, and you'll find the boss arena right ahead.
Defeating the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant is relatively manageable due to its straightforward combat and elemental abilities. Although the boss doesn't possess particularly complex attacks, it’s essential to stay alert. Before launching an attack, the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant will always leave a ground indicator.
Watch for the red (pyro) glow on the ground, which signals incoming attacks. This visual cue gives you ample time to dodge and reposition. Use the opportunity to strike from a distance while avoiding the area of effect.
While the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant isn’t immune to pyro, it boasts extremely high pyro resistance, rendering pyro characters less effective. During the battle, the boss will occasionally enter a Golden State, gaining a shield and taking to the air. It will then fire damaging projectiles, so it's wise to stay alert and dodge as needed. Bringing a reliable shielder can also be beneficial. To weaken its shield, make sure to destroy the Flamewind Feather it drops on the ground.
Any elemental attack can be used on both the boss and the Flamewind Feather, but hydro proves most effective due to its elemental reaction against pyro. After depleting the Golden State, the boss will be left stunned, providing a prime opportunity for players to launch a decisive attack.
