Genshin Impact fans now have their first glimpse of Xilonen’s idle and combat animations, a character slated to join the roster in Version 5.1. While there’s a lot to be excited about in the Natlan region, Genshin Impact has always shined through its unique characters and their synergistic abilities. Although regional Archons typically steal the spotlight, Xilonen’s growing popularity is starting to compete with that of Mavuika.
Initially introduced in the Ignition teaser, Xilonen quickly piqued player interest with rumors about her abilities. As a Geo character, Xilonen is expected to not only enhance the often-overlooked Geo element but also bring significant changes to the game’s meta. Her skill set positions her as a versatile support character, capable of reducing enemies’ elemental resistance, offering substantial buffs to allies, and even acting as a healer.
While many leaks have centered around her abilities, leaker Dimbreath has shared Xilonen’s animations with the Genshin Impact community. It’s worth noting that support characters in the game usually have less extravagant animations, so comparing Xilonen’s animations to Baizhu, rather than a flashier character like Arlecchino, might be more fitting.
Xilonen is known not just as a skilled blacksmith from the Children of Echoes but also for her unique style involving music and rollerblades. Her sword strikes are elegant and acrobatic, while her Elemental Skill brings out a pair of rollerblades. This skill allows players to easily navigate Natlan’s rugged terrain and provides a dynamic way to attack foes in battle. Her Elemental Burst sees Xilonen using a stereo mixer to heal nearby teammates and deal Geo damage to surrounding enemies. Xilonen’s skill set is likely to make her a staple in many Spiral Abyss teams, especially for characters like Navia, who will greatly benefit from her presence.
While it’s still unclear which characters will feature alongside her in the Version 5.1 Event Banners, it’s likely that Xilonen will see a rerun before the Natlan arc concludes. Players should be cautious with their Primogem spending, especially if they aim to pull for Mavuika in Version 5.3. However, Xilonen’s second Constellation offers a powerful boost to other characters, making her a valuable investment. Genshin Impact players can look forward to Version 5.1’s release on October 9.
