Valorant Patch 9.04 has arrived, and while the introduction of Agent Vyse was confirmed long ago, players are buzzing with excitement to finally get their hands on the latest addition to the roster.
Alongside Vyse's debut, the patch includes updates like the addition of Split to Unrated and Swift Play on console, as well as several bug fixes. Let's dive into the details!
The map Abyss has seen multiple changes in this update. Players will be pleased to know that the Mid and A Sites no longer allow Agent abilities to pass through walls, improving gameplay balance. Additionally, the pre-round barriers at the map's edges have been made more visible, enhancing player awareness.
On the map Lotus, a visual glitch causing Agents to appear as if they were floating near ropes has been resolved. The annoying geometry gap in A Main has also been fixed, ensuring smoother gameplay.
For the Premier mode, an issue with the weekly schedule scrolling inconsistently when collapsing or expanding weeks has been addressed. Moreover, the Traditional Control preset now allows seamless switching between Primary and Secondary Weapons. The patch also fixes D-Pad and Stick inputs so they can no longer alter toggleable settings, providing a more stable control experience.
Riot Games has tackled several competitive issues, such as the incorrect display of ranked updates on the Match History page and the navigation problems with side elements on the Leaderboard page.
In Premier and Tournament Mode Custom Games, the tactical timeout rules have been revised. Teams are now allowed two timeouts, which they can call at any point during a match. Additionally, opening the additional details panel of the combat report, which previously required pressing Tab + M3, can now be done with just M3, simplifying the process.
Despite the numerous fixes, some issues remain. The developers are aware of problems with Vyse's damaging abilities not displaying correctly in the combat reports and are committed to ongoing improvements.
If you're concerned about the Surrender Voting option, rest assured—Riot Games has acknowledged this issue and plans to address it soon. Enjoy your next match, and may the odds be ever in your favor!
