The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is expanding its selection of night-themed maps, with a new Night variant for The Mill being released for free to all players on July 23. This follows the recent addition of a Night variant for Nancy's House, further increasing the difficulty for both sides - Family members will find it harder to flush Victims out of their hiding spots, while Victims will struggle to navigate the darkened surroundings.

Bringing the Terror of Night to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is finally getting a long-requested map variant, allowing players to enjoy The Mill at night. The Mill – Night will shroud the area in darkness, boosting the fear factor for the newest addition to the map pool found in the game.

The Mill was introduced on March 28, 2024, following a four-month-long hiatus for new maps after the introduction of Nancy's House in November 2023. The nighttime version of Nancy's House dropped on May 14, 2024, bringing with it a whole new atmosphere for Victims and Family members alike. Along with her own map, Nancy Sawyer was introduced as a purchasable DLC character, along with the new Survivor at the time, Danny. Since The Mill was added to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, the game has also welcomed the new characters Maria and Hands.

Following an influx of requests from players, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre's new developer, Black Tower Studios, has given The Mill the same treatment as Nancy's House received a few months ago. As an added incentive, The Mill – Night will be free to all players, so players won't need to spend a dime to enjoy it. Players are interested to see how both Victims and Family members fare without the aid of sunlight on an already disorienting map. Night maps often increase the difficulty for both sides, as Family members find it harder to flush Victims out of hiding spots and Victims find it harder to navigate their surroundings.
