If you’ve already read my deep dive on Sword of Justice’s CN and TW servers, you’ll know just how rich, stylish, and surprisingly emotional this MMORPG can get. But there’s one thing I didn’t go deep enough on — something that truly sets this game apart in today’s crowded market: a bold, honest commitment to being non play-to-win.
So let’s talk about it.
Whether you're here for competitive gameplay, casual dungeon runs, or just to dress up and decorate your dream house — Sword of Justice delivers all of that, without forcing your wallet open. And trust me, in a genre filled with games that punish you for not spending, that’s no small deal.

Let’s talk dungeons. Normally, this is where things get stressful — you either get kicked for having low DPS, or you’re just too nervous to queue with strangers. But in Sword of Justice? You can choose to run dungeons with AI teammates (Single Player Mode) — and I’m not talking about useless NPCs that just follow you around. These bots are monsters!
My very first time trying a high-difficulty dungeon, I thought I was doomed. But then the AI team I was matched with wiped out half the boss’s health bar in less than a minute. I was literally just dodging and watching in awe. I had to double-check if I was secretly in a party with developers!

And yes — weekly dungeon chances carry over to the next week, so you never feel forced to log in every day just to “keep up.” Missed some runs? No problem. There’s even a “make-up reward” system that gives you crafting materials so you don’t fall behind. Where was this system in every other MMORPG I’ve played?!

I asked myself — if there’s no power advantage, why would anyone spend? So where do players spend money in this non play-to-win MMORPG? Mostly on style! Ornate Jades, the premium currency, can buy dazzling outfits, hairstyles, accessories, and flashy mounts. Want to rock a limited-edition silk robe or ride a mount that turns heads? That’s your playground.
But don’t worry — none of these purchases impact combat strength. It’s all about personal flair and fun. I once went on a shopping spree after seeing so many beautiful outfits... but hey, beauty is justice!

Now, about gear. Sword of Justice doesn’t hand you everything on a silver platter — but it also doesn’t punish you unfairly. Most of your equipment comes from bosses and loot chests. Sometimes you strike gold. Sometimes... you open a chest and get yet another pair of pants.
There was a week I got zero useful drops. Zero! I started wondering if I needed to go help an old lady cross the road to improve my karma. But even if luck’s not on your side, the game lets you exchange materials for gear over time. So yeah — it rewards consistency over RNG. That’s fair.

Weapons are the only place where some players get a slight edge. The “Legendary Weapons” (known as “神兵” in Chinese servers) require special materials crafted with in-game currency. The difference? About 10% stronger than regular weapons, and that’s it. In fact, in an official tournament, teams without Legendary Weapons have beaten those packed with them — proving once again that skill and teamwork trump pay-to-win gear.

If you caught my earlier article, Sword of Justice MMORPG – First Look Review & Gameplay From CN/TW Servers, you know how much I admire the game’s world, story, and advanced NPC AI. Now that you understand its non play-to-win design philosophy and how accessible it is for all kinds of players — hardcore, casual, or style-focused — it’s clear why Sword of Justice has a passionate player base in China and Taiwan.
For me, this combination of fair gameplay, freedom to customize, and deep immersion is rare in the MMORPG world these days. If you want to see me share more info about this game, share this news with your friends and let me know how excited you are for it!
Stay tuned — we’ll bring you the latest updates as soon as the game launches!
