Considering Sony’s limited portfolio of horror franchises, it becomes increasingly likely that Firesprite's secret horror project is indeed Until Dawn 2.

However, while these rumors appear promising, it’s essential to approach them with caution. Speculation regarding Until Dawn 2 has been circulating since as far back as 2018, so fans should manage their expectations until Sony and Firesprite make an official announcement.
