A dedicated group of dataminers has unearthed a wealth of fresh details about Project Rene, the highly anticipated new entry in The Sims series. Their findings offer a glimpse into various gameplay features and design choices that players can expect in the next installment of the iconic life simulation game.

October 18 marks the second anniversary of Project Rene’s official reveal. While the game's extensive feature set points to a major addition to the Sims universe, EA has clarified that Project Rene won’t directly replace The Sims 4. This has left some fans wondering exactly how it fits into the broader franchise.
Dataminers recently gained access to the latest playtest version of Project Rene, leading to new images and information surfacing online. Reddit user DzXAnt22 compiled the findings, which shed light on the highly anticipated Create A Sim (CAS) mode. Though the playtest itself didn’t include CAS, the codebase contained references to several exciting features.
One major discovery is that Project Rene will allow players to adjust their Sims' height and dress them in multiple layers of clothing, all of which can be fully customized. The code also revealed more detailed body weight controls, and it hinted at a new category of items called "mobility aids," with wheelchairs being the only item found so far.

Additionally, CAS will reportedly let players customize horses, even allowing them to be transformed into unicorns. The feature will also enable players to modify finer details like shirt collars and sleeves. Alongside these customization options, dataminers found hints of career paths, including Chef, Gardener, Student, and Poet. All of this leaked content has been shared on Imgur for fans eager to see what’s coming.
In addition to the CAS revelations, dataminers uncovered more information about The Hub, the central public space featured in Project Rene’s recent playtest. This area will serve as the social center for the game’s multiplayer aspects, where players can join weekly events and purchase digital content like season passes. These findings align with EA's previous announcement that Project Rene will follow a free-to-play model.

Other intriguing details include references to a functioning metro system that will allow players to quickly travel between different game worlds. There are also textures suggesting that objects can become dirty or covered in snow, hinting that seasons might be integrated into the game from launch. This would be a significant change from The Sims 4, where seasons were added later via expansion packs.
With these leaks offering a deeper look into Project Rene, anticipation continues to grow as fans look forward to more official announcements from EA. It’s clear that this new installment aims to innovate and expand on the beloved Sims formula, creating excitement for what’s to come.
