Sony has expanded its roster of games receiving upgrades for the PlayStation 5 Pro. Priced at $699.99, the PS5 Pro presents a considerable investment for gamers, yet it promises substantial performance improvements, such as enabling gameplay at 60 frames per second without compromising visual quality.
Since its announcement, the PS5 Pro has sparked significant debate. Many fans expressed concern over the steep price tag, although it's important to note that it isn’t the most expensive PlayStation console when adjusted for inflation. Some skepticism softened when the PS5 Pro's 30th Anniversary edition was revealed. It will be intriguing to see how the console performs in the market and whether enough titles receive PS5 Pro-specific upgrades to justify the purchase.
As of now, a total of 21 games have been confirmed for PS5 Pro upgrades, including eight newly announced titles during the latest PlayStation State of Play event. Joining the previously confirmed list are Dragon Age: The Veilguard, F1 24, Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil Village, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and Stellar Blade. While it’s expected that all PS5 Pro upgrades will be available at the console’s launch on November 7, this detail was not explicitly stated.
- Alan Wake 2
- Assassin’s Creed Shadows
- Demon’s Souls (2020)
- Dragon Age: The Veilguard
- Dragon’s Dogma 2
- F1 24
- Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
- Ghost of Tsushima
- Gran Turismo 7
- Hogwarts Legacy
- Horizon Forbidden West
- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
- Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
- Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
- Resident Evil 4
- Resident Evil Village
- Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
- Stellar Blade
- The Crew Motorfest
- The First Descendant
- The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered
Sony unveiled the PS5 Pro upgrades in an exciting sizzle reel, highlighting both the previously confirmed titles and the new entries set to enhance the system. The trailer emphasized that players will certainly be able to maximize their gaming experiences with the new console. However, the question remains whether these upgrades justify the PS5 Pro’s hefty price tag.
Looking ahead, Sony has promised that additional games will receive PS5 Pro upgrades in the future, although specifics have yet to be disclosed. For now, PlayStation gamers have these 21 titles to consider as they weigh the decision to invest in a PS5 Pro.
