  • Very slow. I feel like I'm learning spanish from the zootopia sloths. The little animations of the answer moving into the blank spot look nice but they slow it down so much and cannot be turned off. (No rosetta. The app is not running slow. The speed you set the animations to is slow. Just a setting to skip the animation would be a perfect fix.)

  • I like the learning method and generally I learn faster than with audio training alone, or Duolingo. I wish Greek supported showing English translations in-app, like Spanish. If you're not understanding from the photos what's going on, you have to use Google Translate separately, and that's very tedious since you also can't copy the Greek text to clipboard. Also, pics are too small when shown as 3 options on top, and support for portrait orientation would be nice. Room to improve usability.

  • So far I've been impressed overall with Rosetta Stone's structure and methods. I do have a somewhat major complaint though where I think the app could and should be improved. On the speaking sections that require you to comprehend what's happening in a picture to say what the app wants, it should give you some time to process what it wants you to say before it listens for an answer. Its especially difficult to figure out what it wants you to say when you are taking lessons on a small phone screen

  • This app is overall a solid one so far! I'm really enjoying learning new languages! Only one concern with the latest version: when I go through a unit to tap the review lesson from core lesson 1 in easy access mode, it brings me to the review lesson for core lesson 2. This is a bug that was never fixed in later versions. I'm looking for consistency, and I'll gladly remove this criticism once the issue is resolved.

  • The app is quite bad, really! It looks a lot like a shrunken version of your website, maybe a webview. But lacks a few refinements to reach an functional level, i.e.: The texts get tiny sometimes, whenever a button is inside a card (both clickable/actionable) it is quite hard to touch the button without touching on the card (and triggering a unintendet action). I fell that they are facing the challenge from other apps on this segment and are struggling to cope with

  • The short version - Rosetta Stone today looks and feels exactly like like it did in 1999 when I first used it for school. We've made a lot of progress in UI and education science since then, but Rosetta Stone is fine with what they are. No ease of life improvements, no explanations for complex grammar topics (which is a must for a language like German), and zero forgiveness for mistakes - even when the system is at fault. It feels harsh, inflexible, and out of date. Got a refund and never again.
