FuturLab has officially announced the release of the Shrek Special Pack for PowerWash Simulator, set to launch on October 10, 2024. This exciting DLC will introduce a variety of new levels inspired by the Shrek cinematic universe, complete with a stylish new costume for players to wear while they scrub away.
The Shrek Special Pack was first teased during a Nintendo Direct presentation earlier this year, though the exact release date was not revealed at that time—only that it would arrive in the fall. Now, fans can mark their calendars and prepare to dive back into these whimsical landscapes, ready to tackle some serious cleaning. FuturLab has shared details about the specific locations that players will get to restore, including one that promises to be especially vibrant and chaotic.
Here’s a sneak peek at the levels featured in the Shrek Special Pack:
Shrek’s Swamp: The iconic home of the beloved ogre is now covered in a thick layer of colorful muck, making it look more inviting than ever. As you clean, keep an eye out for hidden easter eggs and the meticulous details lovingly crafted from the films.
Duloc: Known for its sterile and dreary appearance, Duloc Castle has been revitalized by some adventurous knights. Your task will be to restore the castle to its former efficiency and rigidity.
Fairy Godmother’s Potion Factory: This is the level I’m most looking forward to. As depicted in Shrek 2, the factory is a chaotic whirlwind of colors and clutter. Expect to find working machines that require your attention—cleaning this place will be a delightful challenge.
Dragon’s Lair: The treasure in the Dragon’s Lair is hidden beneath layers of dirt, and it’s your job to reveal its luster once more. Among the grime, you might discover some tempting treats, though their cleanliness might be questionable!
Hansel’s Honeymoon Hideaway: Shrek and Fiona definitely left their mark on this spot. Restore it to its former glory, but be careful not to let your imagination run wild as you clean.
All levels will be available for both solo and cooperative play, allowing you to team up with friends or tackle the mess on your own. As with other levels in PowerWash Simulator, expect to uncover easter eggs and audio snippets as you progress through each area. Cleaning everything to 100% is highly recommended, as you won’t want to miss any iconic references from these beloved films.
