The excitement doesn’t stop for PlayStation Plus. In the second half of the month, the service is set to introduce a selection of standout indie games, including one that has been generating buzz due to its distinctive visual style.

The spotlight this month falls on The Plucky Squire, developed by All Possible Futures and published by Devolver Digital. This highly anticipated indie title will be available on PlayStation Plus starting from its release date, September 17, alongside the other newly added games.
In The Plucky Squire, you’ll join Jot, the titular plucky squire, and his storybook companions as they leap from their two-dimensional world into our three-dimensional reality. Their mission is to thwart the villainous Humgrump. This action-adventure game combines combat, puzzles, and platforming challenges, standing out with its charming blend of 2D and 3D animation—an aspect beautifully showcased in the trailer below.

In addition to The Plucky Squire, this month’s PlayStation Plus lineup features a mix of previously released titles that are well worth exploring. Night in the Woods, a standout indie game from 2017, is a must-play. With its dark humor, haunting atmosphere, and relatable themes, it has been a favorite among many, especially for its resonant portrayal of millennial angst.
PlayStation VR2 users also have something to look forward to. Pistol Whip, a high-energy first-person shooter inspired by John Wick, is joining the lineup. This game promises intense action and movement, offering both a thrilling experience and a vigorous workout.
