In Core Keeper, while you dig deep into the earth, you can also focus on nurturing your base, cultivating crops, caring for animals, and hatching eggs. Hatching eggs can be done relatively early in the game, allowing you to raise pets that can assist you on your adventures.

To hatch an egg, you'll need an Egg Incubator. Creating one is a straightforward process, and this guide will walk you through making your very own Egg Incubator to get those eggs hatching in no time.

How to Craft an Egg Incubator

Using the Copper Workbench

The Egg Incubator is crafted at the Copper Workbench. To build this, you'll need the following materials:

- 8x Wood

- 6x Copper Bar

If you're working with a higher-tier workbench, don’t worry! Simply use the up and down arrows on the left side of the item list to switch between workbench qualities. This feature allows you to craft items suitable for your current tier.

Once you have your Copper Workbench set up, you can proceed to craft the Egg Incubator with these materials:

- 8x Copper Bar

- 8x Glass Piece

To obtain glass, you'll need a Glass Smelter, which is also crafted at the Copper Workbench. This kiln-like device converts sand into glass.

How to Operate the Egg Incubator

To use your Egg Incubator, you’ll first need to provide it with electricity. This can be managed by crafting an Electronics Table at your Copper Workbench. From the Electronics Table, create a generator and wires to power up your Egg Incubator.

When the Egg Incubator is powered, its yellow lights will illuminate. Simply place an egg inside to start the incubation process. Although this process takes some time, you can monitor the progress via the Egg Incubator's menu. The overlay meter on the right side will gradually decrease. Once the meter reaches the bottom and the egg becomes visible, it will be ready to hatch!

Eggs can be acquired from chests, crates, or digging spots marked with an 'X' on the ground.
