As September rolls in, PlayStation Plus subscribers can look forward to a fresh lineup of games across all three subscription tiers. Continuing the trend set in August, this month's offerings for Essential, Extra, and Premium members include three free games available for download starting September 3rd. Remember, these games are only accessible while your subscription is active. Additionally, new titles will be added to the Extra and Premium tiers later in the month for those willing to pay a bit more.
PlayStation Plus is a must-have for online gamers on PlayStation consoles, providing access to PlayStation Network multiplayer features. While some free-to-play games don’t require a PS Plus subscription, the monthly game offerings are a significant perk for subscribers, ensuring a variety of titles to enjoy.
According to the PlayStation Blog, the September 2024 lineup for PS Plus includes Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, MLB The Show 24, and Little Nightmares 2. All three games are available for both PlayStation 4 and PS5 and can be downloaded at no extra cost starting September 3rd. Notably, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is making its debut on PS Plus, providing a boost to the multiplayer game's early player base.
Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions brings the beloved wizarding sport to the gaming world with its first dedicated title since 2003's Quidditch World Cup. This game offers robust character customization and online multiplayer, though it features teams of three rather than the seven-player teams seen in the books and films. Players can control two of the four positions – Seeker, Chaser, Beater, and Keeper – with the other roles filled by bots.
MLB The Show 24, a top-notch baseball simulation, is the month’s more grounded offering. Once a PlayStation exclusive, this popular title is now available on various platforms, including Xbox, Switch, and PC. Its addition to PS Plus comes just in time for the Major League Baseball’s final season stretch and upcoming postseason.
Completing the lineup is Little Nightmares 2, a chilling puzzle-platformer that follows the 2017 original. With Little Nightmares 3 set for release in 2025, this eerie adventure is a great way to experience the series’ unique blend of suspense and puzzle-solving before diving into the next installment.
